Cui Yuping - 崔玉萍
(Minghui.org) Ms. Cui Yuping and her younger sister, Ms. Cui Yutao, were both employees of the Bureau of Industry and Commercial of the Coal Mine District of Datong City, Shanxi Province. They were both fired for their faith in Falun Gong. Ms. Cui Yuping's son, Mr. Ren Yong, also lost his job for his mother's faith. The mother-and-son duo were arrested a total of more than 30 times for exposing the persecution of Falun Gong.
Ms. Cui Yuping and her son were arrested on December 23, 2010. Their guests, Ms. Cui Yutao and her five-year-old son, as well as another Falun Gong practitioner, were also taken into custody.
Ms. Cui Yuping and her son were released 11 hours later, but they were arrested again the next day when they went to inquire about Ms. Cui Yutao and her son's whereabouts.
Ms. Cui Yutao recounted her ordeal after she was later released. She was interrogated with torture, with her face slapped with a notebook for more than two dozen times. Her eyes became swollen and she felt her eyeballs were about to pop. She was sent to Kuangqu Detention Center on December 26, 2010. She was force fed three times a day and also had her face and nose pinched.
The Cui sisters were arrested on July 11, 2013. Ms. Cui Yuping died later that year.
Ms. Cui Yutao was arrested a few more times after her sister's passing.
