Case Description:

(Minghui.org) Mr. Chen Yijun was a Falun Gong practitioner in Guangde County, Anhui Province. He worked in the local radio and television bureau. He was repeatedly arrested for refusing to renounce his faith.


His last arrest took place in June 2014 when officer Zhu Zhihong and others raided his home and put him on criminal detention. Mr. Chen's elderly bedridden father was traumatized and passed away ten days after his arrest.


Mr. Chen was taken back into custody as soon as his father's funeral was over. He was detained for seven months before being sentenced to probation and released. The local police kept harassing him at home and warned him to not practice Falun Gong or use the Internet. He lived in fear and saw his health quickly decline.


He died on December 14, 2016.
