Case Description:
(Minghui.org) Ms. Zhou Hongzhi, who was born in 1957, passed away at the Huaibei City No. 2 Detention Center in October 2009. She was retired from the Huaibei City Materials Bureau.
Ms. Zhou was arrested by Zhang Ruwei and other officers from the Huaibei City 610 Office in late August 2008. She was taken to the Dahua Guesthouse, which was leased by the 610 Office, where she was deprived of sleep for eight days. She was then taken to the Huaibei City Detention Center, where she was forced to do slave labor, including pasting boxes together and making lanterns. She was not allowed to eat or rest if she did not finish her quota. She was interrogated and tried numerous times. She was under tremendous pressure both physically and mentally.
