Hu Farong - 胡发荣
(Minghui.org) Mr. Hu Farong and his wife, Ms. Liu Anqin, both worked at Yonghong Machinary of Guihang Group in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province. Mr. Hu used to suffer from various chronic diseases. He attended Master Li Hongzhi's Falun Gong lecture on August 15, 1993 and took to heart what Master said about living by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. He improved his character and also returned to health.
Officers Chen Dengliang, Wang Yuxiang, and Zhou Jinsong, along with security guards Niu Xinguo and Jia Jiangang from his company, showed up at Mr. Hu's home on the night of February 8, 2002. They confiscated three copies of Zhuan Falun and took his wife to the local police station. She wasn't released until several hours later.
One day in March 2002, security guard Jia Jiangang asked Mr. Hu what his wife was doing. Mr. Hu said he didn't know and Jia flew into a rage. Ms. Liu had retired at the time and she had been forced to leave home to avoid being arrested again.
In June 2002, Mr. Hu's company tried to pressure him again to give up Falun Gong. They threatened to send him to a brainwashing center. He had to flee too, just like his wife. His company published a notice on two local newspapers, demanding he return within 15 days or else he'd lose his job. He was terminated on August 12, 2002.
The security guards at his company also went to his wife's hometown to harass her family. Her younger brother was once interrogated for several hours, and her father lived in fear.
Mr. Hu was arrested in Huangshan, Anhui Province in 2005 for talking to people about Falun Gong. He was detained for 15 days before being taken back to Guiyang and held at a brainwashing center for five months.
Mr. Hu and his wife were arrested together on January 17, 2008. They were first held at a detention center and moved to a brainwashing center 15 days later. His wife wasn't released until October 13, 2008.
Mr. Hu was given food laced with unknow drugs at the brainwashing center. He had high fever and bloody stool. He was sent to Zhongba Labor Camp on June 19, 2008.
The labor camp guards also laced Mr. Hu's food with unknown drugs, causing him to lose appetite. He felt very weak and often lost balance. He fell all the time and couldn't stop shaking his hands. His eyes were sunken and he became emaciated. He also suffered excruitating pain all over his body. He had become paralyzed by the time he was released on October 17, 2010.
The police harassed him again in 2013. He died on February 12, 2015.
