Case Description:
Ms. Song Yulan, 56, was an employee at the Weihe Forestry Bureau, Shangzhi City, Heilongjiang Province. Before she practiced Falun Gong she had a stroke and was bedridden at home. She completely recovered after practicing Falun Gong. She told her recovery story to everyone she knew. Since April 25, 1999, Song Yulan had been to the Forestry Bureau, to the police department, to the court, and to other places telling people the truth of Falun Gong and the miracles Falun Dafa brought her. One day after the persecution began, an official from the local community brought several people to Song's home to search for Falun Gong books. Song Yulan held the book tightly to her chest and refused to let go. The officials tried to take the book from her by force. Song was pushed down to the ground. She foamed at the mouth and died on the spot. Fearing being held responsible, the vicious officials lied about the cause of her death and claimed she died of a stroke.
