Ding Yuezhao - 丁月兆
(Minghui.org) Mr. Ding Yuezhao from Anqiu City, Shandong Province was arrested in December 2009 and tortured at the Anqiu Detention Center. He was on the verge of death as a result of the torture. He was still harassed even after returning home. He passed away on October 2, 2011.
Mr. Ding suffered from severe epilepsy prior to practicing Falun Gong. After practicing Falun Gong he became healthy and full of energy, like a new person.
On December 20, 2009, Mr. Ding was arrested by officers from the Anqiu 610 Office and the Domestic Security Team. At the Anqiu Detention Center, he was bound to an iron chair and tortured. Officers slapped him in the face and kicked him fiercely. They pierced Mr. Ding's fingertips with needles, then they slammed his hands to the ground with the needles still in them. They also shocked him with electric batons while he was bound to the iron chair.
During the detention, the officers from the 610 Office and the Domestic Security Team ordered the inmates to abuse Mr. Ding. The inmates beat him, swore at him, and deprived him of food and water. They also attempted to force him renounce Falun Gong. Later on, Mr. Ding was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
As a result of the torture he was subjugated to, Mr. Ding was on the verge of death before finally being released. However, the officers still routinely went to his home to harass him. Mr. Ding passed away on October 12, 2011.
