Case Description:
Mr. Ji Keyu was a 66 years old practitioner from Hengyang City, Hunan Province. Mr. Ji started practicing Falun Dafa in 2004 and his illnesses improved significantly. Yang Lixin and other staff members of the National Security Unit, Hengyang City Police Department Yancheng Branch, arrested Mr. Ji's son, also a practitioner, at his work. They were on their way to ransack Mr. Ji's home when Mr. Ji's son escaped with righteous thoughts. After the escape, plainclothes policemen and others affiliated with Yang often harassed and persecuted Mr. Ji's family. The persecution intensified during the holidays. Mr. Ji was highly stressed for a long period of time, to the point where he could not even sleep peacefully. He often woke up at night, feeling scared. Mr. Ji's only son couldn't take care of him. Constant stress caused Mr. Ji's health to worsen. He died on May 14, 2005, and his son couldn't attend his funeral. Many of Mr. Ji's friends recognized the CCP's involvement in his persecution and death.
