Zhan Xueyao - 展学尧
(Minghui.org) Mr. Zhan Xueyao, born on August 21, 1940, was a farmer at Hongliu Village, Jingyuan County, Gansu Province.
After the persecution began, the local government officials and police came to harass him on a regular basis, trying to force him to write statements to renounce his faith. His wife was traumatized and fell ill. She died in February 2003.
More than two dozens of people showed up at Mr. Zhan's home on September 29, 2004 and arrested him. He was kept at a brainwashing center for 20 days but faced constant harassment after he was released.
Mr. Zhan filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin on July 20, 2015 for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong.
He died on February 14, 2018, at the age of 78.
