Case Description:

(Minghui.org) Mr. Xu Dongcheng, a resident of Linjiang City, Jilin Province, was arrested in December 2000 for doing Falun Gong exercises in public. Officer Geng Lidong and others beat him and hung him up for a whole night. They then sent him to Baishan City Detention Center. More than 40 days later, he was moved to Baishan Labor Camp to serve a term of 1.5 yearss.


Mr. Xu was arrested again in August 2002 and given three years of forced labor two months later. Because he refused to give up his belief, his term was extended by 110 days.


Mr. Xu was arrested a third time in April 2009 and given his third forced labor term. He was held at Yinmahe Labor Camp for one and half years.


The repeated detentions took a toll on Mr. Xu's health. He had trouble walking and experienced unbearable pain all over his body. He was also forced to live away from home for some time.


He died on April 18, 2019, at the age of 63.
