Huang Guiying - 黄桂英
(Minghui.org) Ms. Huang Guiying was a teacher at Baiyun Elementary School in Dalian City, Liaoning Province.
She was arrested on August 15, 2010 and given one year of forced labor for her faith in Falun Gong. While held at Masanjia Labor Camp, she was brutally tortured. Three times she was made to suffer a torture dubbed “stretching bed” with her limbs tied to bed posts and her whole body suspended over a bed.
She was arrested again on September 29, 2013 and sent to Dalian City Detention Center. She was sentenced to four years in prison on July 16, 2014 and transferred to Liaoning Province Women's Prison on March 24, 2015. She failed the required physical examination but was still imprisoned.
The prison guards subjected Ms. Huang to various forms of abuse and humilitation. They once forbad her from brushing her teeth or taking a shower for 55 straight days in the summer. They ordered her to sleep on a wood plank in the bitter winter and also poured cold water to her body. She was given meager amount of food and she was so hungry that she even dug in the trash can to find food to eat. She was also forced to stand for 16 hours a day. They didn't allow her to purchase toilet papers or borrow from other inmates.
Ms. Huang was released in September 2017 to find she had been fired from her job. Her husband was also laid off. Her request to have her job reinstated was repeatedly rejected. Once her school principal even called in the police when she appealed for her job back.
Ms. Huang became mentally disoriented in April 2018. She lost appetite and became emaciated. Her belly and legs were extremely swollen. Her conditions worsened in May 2019. She had slurred speech and was in and out of a coma. She died on May 5, 2019, when her daughter was four months pregnant.
