Case Description:
Mr. Zhou Zhi, around 38 years of age, was an engineer at Benxi City Steel Group in Liaoning Province. He was arrested last May for downloading Falun Gong truth-clarification materials from the internet. After his arrest, Zhou had been on hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. Last November, he and three other practitioners were sentenced to 11 years in prison. Zhou was tortured to death at around 9:00 p.m. on August 16 this year at the Second Prison in Shanyang City, Liaoning Province.
