Wang Le was a worker in the Raw Material Section of No. 1 Steel-making Mill of Lingyuan Steel Industry Corporation.
In October 2000, 28 year old male practitioner Wang Le went to Beijing to appeal against the long-term persecution of Falun Gong and was sentenced to two years of forced labor at the Chaoyang City Labor Camp. Here, he was tortured until he became mentally abnormal, at which time he was granted a release to receive medical treatment. By May 16, 2001, he was dead.
