Long Yuhai - 龙玉海
(Minghui.org) Mr. Long Yuhai and his wife, Ms. Guo Shuyun, were arrested on November 30, 2014 while distributing Falun Gong materials. The Chengdu City, Sichuan Province residents were indicted in January 2015. Mr. Long became mentally disoriented and Ms. Guo was almost blind and deaf. In order to avoid being arrested, the couple, who had been released on bail, left home three days before the Chinese New Year.
They wandered about for nearly six months, during which time the police put them on the wanted list.
Two officers came to the couple's home in June 2016 and took them to a hospital for a checkup. The local detention center refused to take them, citing their high blood pressure.
Mr. Long exhibited mental problems again two months later when told he was scheduled for a court hearing. He and his wife again left home and went into hiding for three months.
Eight people from the local court came to the couple's home on June 28, 2017 to have a “court hearing.” One month later, Ms. Guo was sentenced to four years in prison and Mr. Long three years.
The couple again left home to avoid being taken to prison. Mr. Long died on December 6, 2017. He was 80.
