Case Description:
Chai Yong, male, approximately 29, of Han ethnicity, was a self-employed worker in Changji City, Xinjiang Autonomous Region. In October 1999, Chai was illegally sentenced to one and a half years in forced labor camp for appealing for Falun Gong. Having suffered from tremendous persecution, Chai Yong died in August 2001.
