Around 7 p.m. on May 7, 2002, Ms. Du went to the home of a fellow practitioner, Duan Jun. Unexpectedly, Duan Jun's husband sided with the evil. He called "110" [emergency number in China] and reported to the police, who arrived and arrested Ms. Du and Ms. Duan. Ms. Du was tortured to death that same night. On the next day, the police notified Ms. Du's family, claiming that she jumped from a building and killed herself.
