Wang Chongjun - 王崇俊
On June 20, 2008, Mr. Wang's family received notices sent from the First and Tenth Wards of the Prisoner Dispatch Section of Beijing Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp, saying Mr. Wang Chongjun had been sentenced to two years of forced labor on May 22, 2008, and was detained in the First Ward of the Prisoner Dispatch Section. Ms. Wang Zhiqin was sentenced to two and half years of forced labor on May 20, 2008, and is now being held in the Tenth Ward.
Guards in the camp injected Mr. Wang with an unknown drug that caused him to become emaciated. The camp authorities saw that he was dying and quickly released him. He skin had turned yellow from the drug.
His family picked him up and took him to the hospital for an operation. Mr. Wang died on the afternoon of August 23, 2008. His wife was transferred to the Shanxi Province Forced Labor Camp right before the Olympics. She still does not know of her husband's death.
