Huang Guixi - 黄硅熙
The guards and prisoners had no grounds for the abuse they inflicted on Mr. Huang, but tortured him nonetheless. They deprived him of sleep for six days, allowing him to eat only four tiny pieces of corn bread per day and no boiled water, only tap water (not drinkable in China). Many practitioners detained there suffered from diarrhea. They were also injected with unknown drugs. Practitioners who were injected with these drugs all felt very tired.
Mr. Huang also endured a type of torture where one is forced to sit on the edge of a bed for 18 hours per day for six months. If he moved his legs one bit, guards would force him to write a Dissociation Statement, otherwise a brutal beating would follow. Mr. Huang's buttocks became rotten due to this torture. His pants could not be taken off as a result of the wound's fluid sticking to the material. Guards also burned him with cigarettes. He was released from the camp on April 20, 2005 but his weight had dropped from 150 pounds to 60 pounds.
He was very weak following his release. His children worried about his health and bought an airline ticket on May 10, 2006, arranging for him be treated in a big hospital in Shanghai. On May 11, 2006, one day before his planned medical trip, officers from the Chaoyang Police Station arrested him and his wife again. The police had claimed they were there to check their Resident Permits. They found a photo of Falun Dafa's founder and arrested them. They took their TV, VCDs and copy machine. The police locked Mr. Huang up for over 40 days.
After that incident, the local police and community officials often harassed the family, causing Mr. Huang's health to worsen. He died on September 25, 2008, in Yanbian Korean Prefecture Hospital.
