Zhang Wenliang - 张文亮
On May 10, 2007, while he was installing a Satellite dish in his sister's home in Qingdao City, police arrested him, and detained him in the Qingdao City Second Detention Center. Later he was sent to a forced labor camp in Wangcun for 18 months. At the same time, police ransacked his parents' home, and took away their three Satellite dishes, TV set, etc. The confiscated items were worth more than four thousand yuan.
In 2008, he became very weak while in Wangcun Labor Camp, and was treated at Wangcun Hospital. He developed pleural hydrocele, leg pains, and was severely emaciated. The Jingzhi Town police took him to be treated in Jingzhi Town Hospital. By the time he checked out of the hospital in October 2008, he could not take care of himself, and his life was in danger. Even in such a poor condition, local police continued to harass him at home often. He died on December 6, 2008.
