Case Description:

(Minghui.org) Ms. Yu Zhifang, a 54-year old, practitioner from Yingcheng City, Hubei Province, began to practice Falun Dafa in 1997.

She was arrested by police from Huangtan Police Station while distributing informational materials about Falun Gong on the evening of June 11, 2007.

The police brought her to Yingcheng City Police Station on the the same night. Staff members from the Domestic Security Division interrogated her and attempted to send her to the detention center.

Ms. Yu jumped from a balcony on the 2nd floor of the police station in order to escape from the persecution and could not move after she fell to the ground.

A police officer kicked her twice before dragging her to the basement of the police department.

Ms. Yu was sent to the hospital for examination around 9 a.m. the next morning. The x-rays showed her back and legs had serious fractures. After that, police took her back to the basement of the police department. In the afternoon, they took her to Yingcheng People's Hospital and tied her arms and legs onto the bed and forcefully injected her with some unknown drugs.

After the injection, several policemen discussed a plan to send her to the Department of Infectious Diseases. At that time, Ms. Yu's son arrived. When the police saw her son, one of them said, "I am here taking care of your mother. I have no responsibility for her injuries." Then the police left. Ms. Yu was sent to a general ward.

Ms. Yu's physical condition became worse and her whole body ached. She could not stand by herself and had difficulty walking. After the police gave her some unknown injection, purple, black and reddish spots appeared around her injuries. She sometimes fell unconscious. She suffered back and leg pains for a long time.

Ms. Yu passed away on December 15, 2009.
