Case Description:

Mr. Guo Qiyuan used to be a director at the Yangcha Police Station, Ji'an City and later lived in Jilin City, Jilin Province. He was a practitioner who benefited from cultivating Falun Dafa. At the end of 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa and was detained in Ji'an City. The 610 Office and the Party Political Committee forced him to quit the police force and he had to go back to his hometown of Jilin City. Later he was sentenced to two years of forced labor for clarifying the truth, and was detained in Huanxiling Forced Labor Camp, Jilin City.

On March 4, 2002, Mr. Guo was arrested by four to five plain-clothed policemen from the Jilin Police Department. He was detained and interrogated on the fifth floor of the police department building. When his family members came to see him, he had already been found dead lying on the ground.
