Case Description:
Jiao Fenglan, 60 years old, from Beizhuang Village, Shiting Township, Laishui County, Baoding City, Hebei Province was illegally sent to the detention center by Laishui County police on May 21, 2003, simply because she insisted on practicing Falun Dafa.
She refused to cooperate with the forcible "reform" through brainwashing and went on a hunger strike for 16 days. The police did not release her until her life was in great danger. She died seven days after she got home.
