Case Description:

(Minghui.org) Clearwisdom.net published a story about a female Dafa practitioner who was labeled "L25" in a detention center, after refusing to give her name. The story was about how this practitioner was tortured to death in the Qianan City Detention Center of Hebei Province on February 21, 2001 (details: http://www.clearwisdom.net/emh/articles/2003/11/20/42432.html). I knew this practitioner and am a witness in this case. In order for there to be more evidence for investigators, I will now reveal what I know about this practitioner and her death.

L25 and I were imprisoned in the same cell. I only knew that she was from Guangdong Province, was 38 years old, and that her family included her small son, her husband, and her husband's parents.

In December 2000, practitioners from all around the country went to Beijing to appeal against the Jiang regime for framing practitioners and slandering Dafa. Large numbers of Dafa practitioners were arrested and during that time all of the detention centers in Beijing were completely filled, so the arrested practitioners were distributed to other nearby detention centers. I was one of over 100 Dafa practitioners from Beijing's Chongwen District Detention Center who were sent to other nearby detention centers on December 25, 2000. We were put into four vehicles with two guards per car. At a little after five o'clock in the evening, we were sent to Tangshan City, Hebei Province. They then sent fifteen of us (3 males and 12 females) to the Qianan City Detention Center. This female practitioner, who was later murdered, was assigned to the same cell as me. Police labeled her with the serial number "L25."

After arriving at the Qianan Detention Center, the police did not let us practice the exercises, used criminals to watch us, and did not let us speak. Dafa practitioners had to hold hunger strikes in order to protest the mistreatment. After December 30 or 31, the police started to torture practitioners. They excruciatingly tortured each practitioner alone in an attempt to forcibly make them give their names and addresses.

Their main tool of torture was a rope. The police tied up the practitioner with a thin rope, circled the rope around his neck, and tied his hands behind his back. Then the police used all the force they could muster to tighten the rope. The rope became tighter and tighter around the body of the practitioner, making it more and more difficult for him to breathe. They also forced practitioners to kneel down, and then 4-5 thugs would torture one practitioner. They pulled practitioners' hair, stepped on their legs, slapped their faces, swung their arms, etc. They continued the torture from morning to late at night. One day after I returned to my room, L25 did not return until midnight. I saw that her nose was burned red, her two feet were swollen, her right foot was crushed, and her skin was torn up. She had difficultly getting back to her bed. We used eye contact to give each other encouragement. In mid-January of 2001, I was released; during that time L25 was the only practitioner still being kept at the detention center.

She followed Dafa's principles of "Truthfulness, Benevolence, and Forbearance," treating everyone around her with compassion. To this day I still deeply cherish the memory of her. She was kind, warm, conscientious, and unselfish. Although needing to rest and recuperate from protesting the persecution through a hunger strike, and enduring injuries all over her body, she still helped serve water and bring food to others.

When I first heard the news in late February 2001 that she had been tortured to death at the Qianan Detention Center, I was shocked and extremely sad. This is yet another blood stained piece of evidence of the Jiang regime's slaughtering of innocent people.
