Ren Yinping - 任银平
(Minghui.org) In 2015, Mr. Ren Yinping's wife filed a lawsuit against Jiang Zemin. She recounted the persecution that they endured for practicing Falun Gong:
“My husband and I were arrested on July 21, 1999 when we went to Taiyuan City to appeal for Falun Gong. My husband was detained for nine months, during which time he was abused. He was once beaten every day for four straight days and he suffered persistent stomachache. They also didn't allow him to sleep and forced him to stand for 24 hours. He was later sent to Jinzhong Prison, where he was forced to do unpaid labor while still suffering from stomachache. He was sentenced to three years in prison on June 6, 2000.
The police searched our home twice, first on May 20, 2003 and then on June 17, 2003. They arrested my husband and me after the second home raid. While at Pingding Police Station, several officers beat my husband so hard that one of his teeth became loose. I heard him yell, “the police are beating me!” He was later given two years of forced labor at Xindian Labor Camp.
My husband was fired in 1999 shortly after our first arrest. In order to make a living, he did odd jobs after he was released from prison. The hardship of life took a toll on his health and he passed away on November 29, 2013. He was 50.
I was also targeted for my faith. I was held in a brainwashing center for eight months in 2001. I still refused to give up my belief and was then given two years of forced labor.
My father-in-law, Ren Dongxiao, began practicing Falun Gong in September 1998. He is 85 years old. He was arrested on February 7, 2002 and detained for 15 days. My mother-in-law was often harassed at home.
My son is 27 years old, but neither he nor I have a stable income because of the persecution. I hold Jiang Zemin responsible for my family's suffering and I demand that justice be served.”
