Liu Sijuan - 刘耜隽
(Minghui.org) Mr. Liu Sijuan, a resident of Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province, was a staff member of Jixi City Fisheries Bureau.
Mr. Liu was arrested and detained at Dongfeng Police Station for more than 20 days shortly after the onset of persecution against Falun Gong in July 1999.
Mr. Liu went to Beijing to appeal for the rights to practice Falun Gong in August 1999 and was arrested. The police in Beijing beat him.
The police in Jixi City went to Beijing in September 1999 and escorted him back.
Mr. Liu was detained at Jixi City No.2 Detention Center for 81 days. He experienced intensive pain in his liver. Despite his physical condition, the guards forced him to do hard labor, including building a root cellar and cleaning pigsty.
The police, staff members from the residential committee, and his supervisor at work constantly called him or went to his home to harass him after he was released.
Unable to live a peaceful life, Mr. Liu was forced to live away from home with his wife and one-year-old daughter in the summer of 2000.
He suddenly vomited a large amount of blood on March 3, 2005 and passed away three days later. He was 42.
Mr. Liu’s passing left his wife and daughter in a very difficult situation.
