Courageous Practitioners Continued to Appeal in Beijing

Beijing, January 10, 2000

Ten practitioners from a remote suburban area in Cheng-hua District of Cheng-du City arrived Beijing today. They made a statement to the international media that they would protest the local government's escalating persecutions against Falun Gong practitioners and appeal to the United Nations Human Rights Organizations, International Human Rights Organizations, all governments and kind-hearted people for support.

These ten practitioners came to Beijing to appeal because an official named He Wei-yuan had used vicious slanders to humiliate Falun Gong practitioners for many times in the "forced education class".

Beijing, January 12, 2000

On the morning of January 12, it was cloudy. There was full of snow on the ground of the Tiananmen Square. At about 10:55am, seven to eight practitioners held up a flag with Falun Emblem and the four Chinese characters of Falun Dafa. After only 5 seconds, a plain-clothes police officer rushed over and pulled it down. Later, all practitioners were pushed into the police van.

After about 10 minutes, a female practitioner wearing an army coat held up a red banner reading "Falun Dafa" in both Chinese and English and was taken into the police van afterwards.
