The Xishanping Labor Camp in Chongqing City used various kinds of means to maltreat Dafa practitioners. Here we disclose some of the facts obtained from various channels to inform people all over the world and to expose the evil.
In Xishanping, the discipliners used all people, including criminals, to monitor Dafa practitioners 24 hours a day. If they found someone practicing the exercises or studying the Fa, they would torture and give various penalties to those practitioners. For example, Dafa practitioner Meng Xiantao was confined in a separate room for more than 40 days because of practicing the exercises; Yi and Xie were handcuffed to trees for three days and three nights for practicing the exercises; Li Xiangdong was handcuffed for seven days and seven nights for practicing the exercises. In this harshly disciplined squadron, some Dafa practitioners were injured from "binding the chicken wings (being tied up by police-ropes)" for more than 20 minutes. Some of the practitioners still cannot move their hands. The criminals and the discipliners beat Dafa Practitioners Wu and others viciously for practicing the exercises until the small wooden chair used was crushed; some of the practitioners could not stand up after being beaten up. Also, while some practitioners were practicing, the discipliner kicked them and stepped on their heads. Cao Xianlu was forced to sit in water with bare feet while being given electric shocks consistently until the electric stick ran out of electricity. The vicious intent was heartless and hysterical. There are countless similar examples.
In order to destroy and devastate Dafa practitioners, the evil force imposed high-intensity works and drills on Dafa practitioners and didn't allow them to take any rests. Everyday, from 6 am till lunchtime and from 3 pm till super time, Dafa practitioners were forced to run over 10,000 meters. For the longest run, they were even forced to run around the basketball court for 130 times. Generally, they were forced to do 100 push-ups; however, they were sometimes forced to do up to 270. Dafa practitioner Cao Xianlu was given six "hot and spicy chicken legs" by criminals (The criminals jumped very high and stomped on Cao's legs). He couldn't walk for several days, and continued to feel pain one month later. Even under such conditions, he was forced to lift sand bags (each weighing about 150 kilograms) and walk around when he was barely able to walk. He was required to walk around double the time required of the new convicts. When he finished lifting sand bags, he was forced to do the "frog-jump" till he fainted.
Besides "drills," during all the other hours, Dafa practitioners were forced to do the "house lizard stance (nose and body leaning against a wall without being allowed to move at all)" from 3am - 4am the next day.
Zhang and three other Dafa practitioners were penalized and forced to do more than 200 push-ups and to squat up and down more than 300 times continuously in the rain because they refused to sing the Internationale. When they finished, they almost fainted. Fellow practitioner Li Chunguo was even forced to drink urine in the Police Custody Station!
In this harshly disciplined squadron, the persecution of Dafa practitioners was even worse than other squadrons. The captain of that squadron said, "We should use the Culture Revolution's style of words-abusing and violence-resorting on Falun Gong." We can see how evil it is from his statement. Dafa practitioners Kang Hong and Meng Xiantao were injured as a result of persecution and were hospitalized; Kang Hong was hospitalized several times. Because the news was tightly blocked, we couldn't get many detailed facts.
After August 2000, the Labor Camp monitored practitioners even more closely. Practitioner Cao Xianlu refused to write the "three reports" ["Letter of Guarantee"(of not practicing Dafa later); "Written Statement of Repentance"; "Guilty Pleading"]. When his mother died, his family came to tell him the news. He was not allowed to see his mother for the last time. When it was finally agreed that he could see his mother after "the case was studied," his mother had already been cremated.
Faced with evil's crazy doings, all of us Dafa practitioners in Xishanping together went on hunger strikes three times before they had to think twice and restrain themselves a little bit.
In spite of the loneliness and persecution, all of us Dafa practitioners in Xishanping Labor Camp are still as persistent as the beginning and would never waver in our determination. Teacher, please rest assured, we will never let you down and we will be worthy of your pains. We will do whatever we should do excellently during the celestial phenomena of "assisting the Teacher in the world" and before "the law rectifies the world."
