On December 15, 2000, about 30 Japanese Dafa practitioners got together in front of the Chinese Embassy in Japan upon hearing the sad news that Zhao Xin, a Falun Dafa practitioner, passed away after having endured 6-months of unimaginable pain. Because of her insistence on practicing Falun Dafa, Miss Zhao was brutally beaten by policemen until they smashed her cervical vertebrae.
Japanese Dafa practitioners held a large photo of Zhao Xin and banners that read "Suffering Unimaginable Pain" and "Calling for Justice and Conscience." They also showed a Dafa introduction videotape and distributed Dafa newspapers in the Japanese language, which disclosed the true facts about Falun Dafa to ordinary people. Many pedestrians and automobile drivers passing by were moved by the scene.
A representative of the practitioners tried to submit a petition to the embassy. However, the embassy's iron door was tightly closed although it was a regular workday, and the mailbox outside the door was under repair. The staff at the reception room utterly ignored the representative. Even the Japanese guard could not help. In the end, the Dafa representative had to put the petition on the ground near the mailbox under repair.
