[Lanzhou, Gangsu Province] The heroic actions of Lanzhou practitioners at the first anniversary of Lanzhou Falun Dafa conference

On December 18th of last year, 108 Dafa practitioners in Lanzhou held a solemn Fa Conference. That conference had effectively elevated practitioners in the Lanzhou area as a whole and established a new environment for cultivation.

One year after the conference, the practitioners stepped forward again. They used their action to "suffocate evil" and "help the teacher rectify Fa in this world". This morning, in just over an hour, over 1000 banners were displayed on buildings, trees, skywalks, and bridges in the city as well as in the nearby suburbs.

According to news sources, some companies and organizations in the Lanzhou area had recently required employees to file a form. The purpose of the form is to assess one's opinion toward Falun Gong. Both Falun Gong practitioners and non-practitioners had to file the form. Everybody is required to go through this screening. Practitioners just treat it as another test.

[Northeast China] 2000 Dafa banners appeared overnight in a northeastern city

On the evening of December 19th, 2000, local practitioners hung up approximately 2000 Dafa banners in a northeastern city and nearby towns. Afterwards, they were able to return home safely. As of 10AM on December 20th, the banners were still there.

[Jidong County, Heilongjian Province] Wearing out three pairs of shoes while on the way to Safeguard Dafa

A Dafa practitioner from Jidong County in Heilongjian Province walked over 1000 kilometers to Beijing to safeguard the Fa, wearing out 3 pairs of shoes in the process. When tired, he wrapped himself in a plastic sheet and slept on the roadside. He ate unripe corn when he was hungry. After walking for 20 days, he was captured in Tangshan city, Hebei province. A policeman saw the blisters on his feet, and brought him some warm water to wash his feet. With great admiration, he said: "Dafa practitioners are extraordinary!"

After he was escorted back to the police branch in his hometown, his two front teeth were knocked out by the police. He picked one up and put it right back in. It was as good as before. When he returned from his second trip to safeguard the Fa in Beijing, he was hit over 70 times with an apparatus made by the local police (afterwards, his skin looked normal but his tissues were all clogged and inflamed)

[Northeast China] Dafa practitioners from all of the districts of a northeastern city stepped forward to validate Dafa

November 3rd, on a bus from a northeastern city to the countryside, a practitioner was distributing materials to clarify the truth about Dafa. Some passengers hesitated to read it. This practitioner told them: "I am willing to risk my life to give out this material and you are afraid to read it? Don't worry, just read it." One of the passengers said, "I'm from the police station, aren't you afraid I might arrest you?" The practitioner said calmly, "You want to arrest me after I already finished passing out all of the materials?" The policeman was impressed by the practitioners' calm demeanor.

Recently, over 10 practitioners from a district in this city went to Beijing to safeguard the Fa. They opened up banners in Tiananmen square, and called out "Falun Dafa is good" and "Falun Dafa is a righteous Fa". Some were arrested by policemen, while others were released by some other kind policemen. A lady in her 50s went to Beijing with 2 daughters and a 4-year old grandson. She and her elder daughter were detained in the Jinzhou district detention center; her younger daughter was missing; and her grandson was taken back by the local police.

Banners of "Falun Dafa is good" and "Falun Dafa is a righteous Fa" appeared along some major roads connecting neighboring towns around the area, validating Dafa to the people.

[Beijing] Recently, dozens of people from this province have been going to Tiananmen Square daily.

Practitioners in Beijing, please be cautious: the Beijing police are currently patrolling around with position locators.

Yesterday, ten new wireless electronic detecting vehicles appeared on the street of Changsha city. Practitioners, please be cautious when using laser printers and copy machines. You can refer to related articles in ClearWisdom net on how to shield signals and increase safety.

This is perceived as a new deployment throughout the public security system nationwide. Please pay extra attention.

[Beijing] Be on the Alert for Electronic 'Bugs'

Currently, in order to track other practitioners, police in Beijing and some other areas conceal electronic 'bugs' and other tracing devices on detained practitioners and then release them.

All practitioners, please be alert and counter their evil deeds. When you are released, if you find tiny electronic equipment (the size of a button, usually black), dispose of it immediately. The best way is to dispose of it in a moving subway (in a subway, this equipment will not be effective). Then purchase new clothes and shoes to replace the old ones. Please do not go to other practitioners' homes until you are no longer a security risk; otherwise the evil forces may take advantage of this. Be careful when you make phone calls, do not mention the names or addresses of any practitioners. We recommend to everyone to have an alias to avoid being wiretapped.

[Jinan, Shangdong Province] Dafa practitioner Zhang Lin from Jinan was sent to a mental hospital

Zhang Lin is a 58-year old retiree of the Jinan Bank of Industry and Commerce. On October 27th, 2000, she was sent to Jinan Lixia district "education and transformation class against Falun Gong". She was then sent to a mental hospital on November 31st, 2000.

Her previous employer, "the Transformation Class", Wendong administrative office, and the police branch in Keyuan street should bear most of the responsibility for her being in a mental hospital.

[Beijing] Railway Police Participate in the Interrogation of Dafa Practitioners Traveling to Beijing

Recently, because a lot of Dafa practitioners are going to Beijing to safeguard Dafa, railway police have a new task: interrogate travelers and stop any practitioner who attempts to go to Beijing. Below is a story told by a practitioner: on Dec. 17th, on train #272 from Jilin Province to Beijing, railway police patrolled the passenger cars, checking the tickets and IDs of those who were suspected to be Dafa practitioners. They also asked about the reasons for their trip, immediately verifying their home and work phone numbers via cellular phone. Some were forced to curse Dafa. When the train got close to the city of Shenyang in Liaoning Province, 9 practitioners who had boarded from Changchun station were picked out and put into one car. They were then taken off the train at Shanhaiguan station and were sent to the transfer station.

Moreover, Herzuizi Detention Center in city of Changchun was crowded with over 1,000 Dafa practitioners. Even warehouses and garages were all used to detain practitioners.

[Daqing, Liaoning Province] Evils in the Labor Camp in the City of Daqing

The evil people in the Daqing labor camp are still very rampant. All Dafa practitioners in that camp have experienced inhumane torture. The guards often use fists, electric batons, plastic rods and heavy physical labor to punish practitioners and force them to sign the pledge to give up practicing and appealing for Falun Gong. The practitioners who refused to sign the pledge would be badly beaten. The incident of Wang Bin's death due to torture on October 5th, 2000 did not help to restrain them. On the contrary, they have become even more brutal toward practitioners. Currently, there are 24 male practitioners detained in the Daqing City Labor Camp and over 200 female practitioners detained in the Shuanghe Labor Camp in the City of Qiqihar. We're urging all kindhearted people in the world to help those practitioners.

[Wuhan, Hubei Province] Persecution against Falun Gong Practitioners in Caidian County of Wuhan City, Hubei Province

  1. Xu Guanglin, a 28-year old male doctor of traditional Chinese medicine in Zhuru Town of Caidian County, went to Beijing 3 times and was arrested on all 3 occasions. While detained, he insisted that it was not wrong to appeal and that practitioners were innocent. He demanded to be released unconditionally and went on a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. In March 2000, he was arrested while sharing experiences in another practitioner's home. To avoid being taken away, he jumped from the third floor. Nonetheless, he was captured due to an injury in his lower back. He went on a hunger strike for half a year (March to September 2000). The guards force-fed him everyday. His nose, esophagus and stomach were all seriously damaged. In September, he was sentenced to 3 years in prison after two rounds of trials. His current whereabouts are unknown.
  2. His sister Xu Lihua was also arrested on October 23rd for distributing flyers. Her family was informed that she too will be sentenced to a jail term.

  3. Yang Ping, a 43-year old female employee of the Caidian Aquatic Products Company, twice went to Beijing to appeal. In March 2000 she was escorted from Beijing back to Wuhan City. Although she was two months pregnant she was nonetheless still detained for 4 days at the Zhonghualu Police Substation in Wuchang District of Wuhan City and for 25 days at the Caidian Police Substation. Afterwards, she was forced to have an abortion. 24 days later, she was sent to the Wuhan City Drug Rehabilitation Center for one and a half years of 'education through labor'. During that period, she was forced to take cold showers and drink cold water. She went on a hunger strike once. Her husband Wang Jianjun was fined RMB 4320 (about USD$500). After Wang Jianjun appealed, Yang Ping was released after 3 months of 'education through labor'. Her whole body was still swollen by the time she got home.

  4. Mei Aiping, a male practitioner, went to Beijing once. As a result, he was twice hung in a handcuffed position and was beaten up for hours. He was then sentenced to one year of 'education through labor'. He has still not been released even though he had completed his term on November 7th, 2000.

  5. Lin Jianhua, a female practitioner, went to Beijing twice. The last time, she was arrested on her way to another practitioner's home. After being detained for 45 days, she was sentenced to one year of 'education through labor'.

  6. Zhu Hui, a female practitioner, was arrested for distributing materials clarifying the truth about Dafa and was sentenced to one year of 'education through labor'. The evil forces even wrote to her mother and other practitioners in her name, persuading them to give up cultivation.
