"World Falun Dafa Day" Celebration in Los Angeles [with photos]
On May 13, 2000, practitioners from Los Angeles area celebrated the first World Falun Dafa Day on the Caltech campus, Pasadena. The activity started at 10:30am. Several local practitioners made opening speeches and also introduced the three local Falun Gong Clubs registered in UCLA, USC and Caltech. Then, practitioners gave a short demonstration of the five sets of Falun Gong exercises and taught the exercises to a dozen of beginners. In the afternoon, an experience sharing conference was held. 9 practitioners including two westerners and two practitioners who came from China recently shared their personal experiences of cultivating Falun Gong. The activity ended at 5:30pm. Several journalists came to cover the activity.
