Jiang Zemin's speech was frequently decorated with high-sounding words however, his intrinsic quality of "Fair without, foul within" is not difficult to perceive from his cruel suppression of Falun Gong in China during this past year. Jiang Zemin said in his speech, "In this world, there can't be only one kind of civilizationone kind of value." "The diversity of different nations, different religions and different civilizations should be fully respected. ?We should, motivated by the desire of equality and democracy, advance mutual communication among various civilizations, using them for reference, to achieve mutual improvement."

Then, let us consider how Jiang Zemin himself "respected" different civilizations and values. Since its introduction in 1992, Falun Dafa, in accordance with the most fundamental characteristic of the universe "Zhen(Truthfulness)-Shan(Compassion)-Ren(Forbearance)," has enabled over 100 million practitioners to upgrade their morality and better their health. As a result, Falun Gong has gained general acknowledgement from international communities, including the mainland of China. This is because "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" is the highest civilization and value in the universe. Just when the dazzling brilliance of Falun Dafa is lighting up every dark corner, Jiang Zemin, jealous of the worthy and the able, is autocratic and tyrannical, and attaches too much importance to individual worship, could no longer control himself and revealed his cruel and vicious intrinsic quality of "civilization." Turning a deaf ear to different opinions inside the Communist Party and paying no heed to the objective conclusion drawn through the Government's investigation, he will be content with nothing less than the destruction of Falun Gong.

Also, Jiang Zemin's Government has wantonly suppressed different religious beliefs including Christianity and Catholicism, and health-improving Qi Gong in China. Is what he advocates as "coexistence of diversity," "spirit of equality and democracy"?

Jiang said in his speech, "At present, people in many countries still suffer because of war and turmoil. Hegemony and power politics are still in existence." "Our planet is still very unstable and not peaceful."

It seems that Jiang Zemin made a confession without duress. He should have been clearly conscious that his own "hegemony and power politics" are just such big causes of this "suffering from turmoil" and "instability and lack of peace on our planet". Please read the following facts:

According to news from media all over the world and human rights organizations, there are 53 Falun Gong practitioners being persecuted to death thus far. Over 500 have been put in jail, some for as long as 18 years. Approximately 600 have been sent to psychiatric hospitals where they are forcefully given injections of drugs harmful to their nerves and psychological system, and are suffering from electric shock. More than 10,000 have been sent to labor camps without any legal procedures while 50,000 have been arrested and are kept in custody. Millions of Falun Gong books, videotapes, tapes were confiscated and burned; and numerous Falun Gong practitioners suffer from beatings, corporal punishment, breaking up of their families---some have died, some have gone away, and millions of family members, relatives, friends and colleagues are being involved in the trouble.

Jiang Zemin also said, "China, as a standing member of the UN Security Council, always complies with the purpose and principles of the United Nations Charter," "We should firmly safeguard the purpose and principles of the United Nations Charter".

It is well known that China has signed the "International Human Rights Convention," in which it is clearly regulated that people have the freedom of "belief" or "disbelief" and the freedom of choosing some health-improving activities. Jiang put his pressure on the Central government and the local governments, forcing the broad masses to give up cultivation practice of Falun Gong by utilizing various fascist autocratic means. We should like to ask, what is Jiang "complying with," and what he is safeguarding?

Jiang also said, "Though there are still many dissatisfactory aspects in the world, people from various countriesare becoming more and more rational in dealing with relations between man and nature, between man and society, between races, between nations, etc."

Jiang is so "dissatisfied" with Falun Gong and various religious beliefs that he employs various autocratic means to suppress them cruelly and outlaw them. Is this what he calls "rationality"?

Jiang also said, "Humans have gone through tragic catastrophes and disasters during the past thousand years and in the 20th century, have undergone great struggles and creation, and have finally gained magnificent physical and mental achievements."

Jiang Zemin's fascist suppression brings upon Falun Dafa and its practitioners "tragic catastrophes and disasters," yet, power can never defeat truth. Practitioners in the mainland of China, as usual, firmly believe in the universal law "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," just like pines in the snow and a lotus in the mud. Jiang's repulsive suppression is constantly being exposed to the light of day, opposed by international communities and more and more people of good will. Just as Mr. Li Hongzhi said, "The understanding of practitioners cultivating in Dafa, to the truth of the universe, is distillation of rationality and practice. It is in vain for human beings, whatever stand they take, to deny the universal law, which is above all theories in the human society." No living beings in the universe can prevent the wheel of Fa-rectification from going forward.
