Since July 2000, the Zhongjing Town Police Station not only tortured 63-year-old practitioner Xia Shucai to death on December 22, but also has also cruelly persecuted all Dafa practitioners who have gone to Beijing to appeal. Please read the following report on their cruel deeds:

Practitioner A

It was 9pm on July 18, 2000, Dai Fengzhang and Dong Guangtai, the secretary for political work of Zhongjing Town, and five to six others rushed into this practitioner's home. The head of the Zhongjing Town Police Substation Xu Baojun shouted loudly: "Freeze! Hand over your books!" One of the men accompanying him kicked this practitioner on her backside, and two others twisted her arms. Dai Fengzhang kicked this practitioner to the cement floor causing the practitioner to become unconscious immediately. On the night of October 25, 2000, the town government directed some other thugs to break into this practitioner's home illegally again (at the time, she was sleeping and her husband was not at home). They said they had something to discuss with her and ordered her to put on her clothes. This practitioner strictly pointed out that, " What you are doing is illegal!" As a result, they didn't take her away. But the next afternoon, the vice head of this town, Zhang Chunsheng, and a policemen Wang Jingcai, took this practitioner to the town government and illegally detained her for five days.

Practitioner B

On September 9, 2000, at around 8 pm, Dai Fengzhang directed policemen Mou and Zhang and government official, Dong Guangtai, to break into the practitioner's home and forcefully take him to the town government. The next morning, Mou ruthlessly stomped on the practitioner's bare feet. On the morning of September 12, Wang Jingcai forced the practitioner to put his thumbprints on some documents but he refused, Wang beat him by punching and kicking him. In the afternoon of September 14, Chen Yongbo, Gao Xueguang and Zhang Chunsheng forced him to stay in a half-squat position; these three people stomped on his feet with sudden force, slashed his face and beat the back of his hands with sticks. While beating him, they asked if he still wanted to practice Falun Gong. The beating lasted for more than half an hour, but no matter what kind of method they used, they failed to make this practitioner give up Dafa. At that point, this practitioner had been detained illegally for more than 40 days.

Practitioner C

This practitioner went to Beijing to appeal around October 2000. After two day's detention in a police substation, this practitioner was transferred to the town government detention center. The government officials beat this practitioner with fists and feet and screamed, "How could you go to Beijing? If I knew that you had gone to Beijing, I would have taken you and beat you to death before you were half way there! I would have even buried you alive, nobody would have known." Dai Fengzhang encouraged his accomplices to torture this practitioner using all sorts of methods every night, and to abuse this practitioner using vulgar and degrading language.

Practitioner D

He had been detained illegally for more than 20 days for going to Beijing to appeal. During this period, Dai Fengzhang beat the practitioner's palms with a wooden board and kicked his legs ruthlessly with leather boots. The director of the Administration of Justice, Zhang Suosheng, ruthlessly lashed this practitioner on his back and buttocks, and kicked his head and the back of his head. This practitioner's face was beaten to the point of becoming badly mangled. Evil person Ma Lei beat up Dafa practitioners violently so he could curry favor with his supervisor. He hit this practitioner's Tanzhong acupuncture point [note: acupuncture point located at the top of the head] and both sides of his chest violently with his fists. It was the worst display of violence and he was without any human nature.

Under her leadership, the officials in the town government and the policemen arrested Dafa practitioners unjustly and forced them to pay large amounts of money. They exclaimed, "If Falun Gong practitioners don't hand in money, we will take the grain from their homes and sell their houses!" They tortured Dafa practitioner Xia Shucai (from Dongdagezhuang village, Zhongjing Town) to death on December 22, 2000. Li is the main planner and the one with direct responsibility. At the end of October 2000, the Secretary of Discipline Inspection, Wang Jingan, was arrested by a local police station when he was drinking and whoring. Li Min bailed him out with her power instead of punishing him. This action has caused bad feelings among the town people.

Crime:

Under the leadership of Dai Fengzhang, they inhumanly persecuted Dafa practitioners who went to appeal. They've lost all of their human nature. They beat up practitioners with wooden sticks, stomped practitioners' heads, faces and feet violently with their leather boots . Many practitioners had been beaten unconscious and incurred massive amounts of bruises. They broke into practitioners' homes in broad daylight, arresting and detaining them for as long as over 40 days without any legal procedure, as well as forcing them to hand over large sums of money.

Crime:

They arrested Dafa practitioners many times, stole their VCRs, VCDs and other valuables. They extorted practitioners' confessions by cruelly torturing them with electric batons and beating them up without reason. Mou looked like a cruel and wild animal when he beat practitioners. Wang Yuanli tried to break down a practitioner's door; he entered from the window when the practitioner refused to open the door. He escaped when the neighbors came over to investigate.
