Master Li says, "As a Dafa disciple, everything of yours is formed by Dafa and is the most righteous, and it can only be that [you] rectify everything that is not righteous." (Dafa is Indestructible)
The closer one gets to the principles of Zhen-Shan-Ren (Truth-Compassion-Tolerance), the more righteous this being will be. Master Li says we are the most righteous and treats us as Dafa particles, and this is the position Master Li has arranged for us after all beings in the cosmos are rectified in the Fa-rectification. Master Li says, "This is true, but don't underestimate yourselves. Perhaps the future Consummation that awaits you will be a truly magnificent realm." (Lecture on the Fa at the Washington, D.C. International Conference)
The reason why we have obtained this special honor is that in the beginning, we had one thought to assist Master Li in the Fa-rectification. Such thoughts are the manifestation of the pure characteristics that the original beings in the universe still retain even though at the time, degeneration already occurred in our lives. Master Li cherishes this remaining sincerity and pureness in us, so he has been giving to us the best things in history until we are forged into divine beings in the future universe.
My understanding of the law principle of "[you] rectify everything that is not righteous" that Master Li teachs us is as follows:
1. Rectify all evil old forces that are within the three realms and have been squeezed into the three realms
Master Li teaches us the Fa-rectifying verse and also gives us great power. Master Li's verse is Fa and should be followed by all beings in the cosmos. When we recite the verse with a pure and righteous state of mind, all beings that should be rectified will be rectified and all those beings that hinder the Fa-rectification should be eradicated.
In the past, when I heard other practitioners' understanding that we had the ability to eliminate the deviated higher level beings, I still felt unsure of myself. However, as I continued to improve myself, now I believe I have such power. When sending forth righteous thoughts or doing work for Dafa, I feel as if I am governing the world and I have the elegant manner of a king.
Master Li tells us, "At present, the places where the evil is able to do bad things, though, are places that have not been reached by the Fa-rectification's massive changing-force. These are exactly the places where Dafa disciples' righteous thoughts take effect." (The Effect of Righteous Thoughts)
"Indestructible righteous thoughts toward the cosmos' Truth form benevolent Dafa disciples' rock-solid, Vajra Bodies; they frighten all evil, and the light of Truth they emanate makes the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate. However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is." (Master's Comments "Also in a Few Words")
2. Rectify everything in our own minds that is not righteous
During our life long journeys, warped notions and all kinds of derived attachments have shrouded our original pureness and innocence. Our cultivation process is the means for us to continuously remove the degenerated substances and return to our original true natures. During the individual cultivation stage in the past, through constantly studying the Fa and upgrading our mind-nature, we identified these degenerated things, genuinely separated them from our true selves and resisted them. Then Master Li would remove them for us. As we kept improving, we have since been given the power to completely eliminate these corrupt substances ourselves--so we should actively do it ourselves instead of always relying on Master Li.
Moreover, the corrupt substances in our own space fields are connected with the warped beings in the universe, and thus naturally should also be objects of Fa-rectification. This is also part of our current mission and we should treat it equally seriously.
3. Rectify inappropriate conditions of our bodies
Some practitioners' articles published on Clearwisdom.net mention the interference of the evil with their bodies. These practitioners righteously understood that they should not passively endure it, but instead should send forth righteous thoughts to eradicate these phenomena as well as the evil forces that arranged them.
For some time now, I have experienced much movement while doing the sitting meditation, and could not calm down or sit quietly when I practiced the exercises. One day, I suddenly realized that such a state was not normal. Therefore, I sent forth the thought that if it were a phenomenon that was associated with Master Li's helping me to transform my body, I would accept it. If it were interference, I would never accept it and should immediately eradicate it! And I silently recited Master Li's verse three times; my body stopped the movement right away. That day when I practiced the sitting meditation, I sat down calmly and experienced dignified and solemn feelings. And my mind was also peaceful.
From this incident, I understood that at present, anywhere and anytime, we should handle everything happening to us with righteous thoughts, including some states of our minds and bodies.
4. No matter how difficult it may be, we should firmly send forth righteous thoughts
The situations in Fa-rectification are complicated. Sometimes, when we send forth righteous thoughts to eradicate the evil, it seems to not work, but instead makes the situation more serious. I understand this as the fighting-back of the evil beings when they are being thoroughly eliminated. They even risk their lives in order to shake our righteous thoughts. Yet, as soon as we have any doubts because of this and are not stable in our minds, the power of our righteous thoughts will be weakened and the evil will take this chance to escape. Therefore, when we send forth righteous thoughts to eradicate the evil, we should not have any thought of pursuing a result. We just quietly eradicate the evil and believe that the evil is being eradicated at the same time. One non-action will restrain tens of thousands of actions.
Master Li said, "But no matter how difficult it is, you must steadfastly eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts, because while eliminating the evil, Dafa disciples are establishing their magnificent mighty virtue amidst Fa-rectification. The effect you have had in eliminating the evil with righteous thoughts has been truly significant. A great number of evil beings have been wiped out, and some have been partially wiped out. This has knocked the life out of them, has eradicated the evil in many dimensions not yet reached by the Fa-rectification, and has had the effect of eliminating and frightening the evil persons." We must believe in ourselves and should remember at all times that we are disciples of Master Li.
Master Li said, "Dafa disciples are magnificent, because what you are cultivating is the ultimate Great Law of the cosmos, because you have validated Dafa with righteous thoughts, and because you have not fallen amidst the massive tribulation." (The Disciples' Magnificence) When we send forth righteous thoughts, our righteous actions are the specific manifestations of Dafa. We are validating Dafa. All beings in the cosmos will see the greatness and dignity of Dafa through us.
