1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] The Police Use Sex Offenders to Torture Practitioners

The First Section of the Changchun Police Department, together with guards in various detention centers in the city, are using sex offenders to torture practitioners. These policemen are quite proud of their idea, and most detained practitioners have suffered to different extents due to this new policy. Here we solemnly warn the police in Changchun, you will have a tragic end if you continue your evil ways.

2. The Buddha-light Illuminates Everywhere to Save Sentient Beings

One day we went to the residential complex of the Broadcast & Television Bureau of the province to distribute Dafa truth-clarifying literature. Before entering the complex, we sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil, so that the kind people can be saved. Outside the gate were some thugs, while the guards inside the gate were playing cards. As we walked further into the complex, we noticed that there were some people on watch, even though they were chatting. It seemed that danger was everywhere.

Dafa practitioners are gods as tall as heaven and incomparably noble. How could human beings stop us from doing this righteous deed? There are about ten buildings in the complex, so we started from the last building. Very quickly we were able put nearly one thousand flyers in every building. We realized that it was the power of Dafa that made this possible. On that day, Teacher showed us these ten buildings in other dimensions. The Buddha-light illuminated everything. Nearly one thousand families were saved. At the same time, there was an immense flower above the head of each practitioner. It was so wonderful.

Teacher says, "Cherish the present time and make the best use of it-this time is meant for the disciples. While you cultivate, do Fa-rectification, and move yourselves towards Consummation, you also need to save sentient beings; you are creating everything for the future. Everything Dafa disciples do today is extremely important, and the righteous path they take might become a reference for beings in the future. In the meantime, they've laid a foundation in human society for humankind's future way of existence." (Lecture on the Fa at the Washington, D.C. International Conference)

We practitioners in the Fa-rectification period should cherish the precious time and whole-heartedly devote ourselves to the Fa-rectification, exposing the evil, clarifying the truth, and offering people salvation.

3. Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts to Eliminate the Evil and Protect the Practitioners Who Have Been Forced Out of Their Homes

According to reports, the police in some cities are using different methods to locate practitioners who have been forced to leave their homes. One of these methods is to check one's ID card, enter the personal information into a computer, and compare the information with the data in CCIC (China Criminal Information Center). It has damaged the work of many practitioners who left home to share their experiences with other practitioners or to spread the truth of Dafa.

We hope that the practitioners who see this message will send forth righteous thoughts together to eliminate the evil behind this new form of persecution.

4. Hiring Taxis to Spread Dafa Flyers

I heard about this from a practitioner from a mid-sized, newly developed city. One day, practitioners in that city hired several taxis and set out to distribute flyers. The practitioners in the first and last cars were watching for potential danger. Whenever they came to street corners, the practitioners in the middle car would throw a bundle of truth-clarifying literature to the pavement. The pedestrians picked them up and read them. The cars would then turn and drive away. All the practitioners returned safe and sound. This was another innovation of Dafa disciples during Fa-rectification.

Chinese people have a tendency to take a look whenever there is something new. The practitioners distributed Dafa flyers in this way to get people's attention and suffocate the evil.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Guo's Wife Stands up After Breaking Her Leg

Practitioner Guo is steadfast in practicing Dafa even while being detained in a brainwashing class. Some policemen asked him why he had such a firm belief in Dafa, so he told them about what happened when he first obtained the Fa. It was nine years ago when Teacher started to teach the Fa in Changchun. Guo's wife had an accident and broke her leg, so her family carried her on a gurney to the classroom where Teacher was giving a lecture. Teacher asked Guo if he believed in Falun Gong. Guo said firmly, "Yes, I do." Teacher then turned to Guo's wife and asked if she did. She also said, "Yes." Teacher then said, "Then you should stand up." She was enlightened to the idea and immediately stood up. She walked around as if nothing had happened.

After practicing Falun Gong, both of them followed the principles of "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance." They have become more and more steadfast. They are in excellent health now and firmly safeguard the Fa.

6. [Gaoyi County, Hebei Province] The Police Arrest Practitioners on a Large Scale

The local Party Secretary Wang Ruisheng declared that he would fight against Falun Gong to the end the moment he assumed office. He ordered the Department of Party Organization, the Discipline Committee, related offices at the township level, and local police departments and judiciary systems to carry out a large-scale arrest of practitioners including the elderly and nursing mothers, on the evening of August 29, 2001. Practitioners were handcuffed and pushed into police vans, and some were arrested at their workplace. The police even chased some practitioners into the cornfield. These practitioners are being held in the Gaoyi County Detention Center, and they are currently on a hunger strike to protest their illegal detention. Practitioner Zhang Guoying started vomiting and defecating blood around September 5. Her current situation is unknown.

The authorities are also applying pressure to the families of the practitioners who have left home to avoid arrest. They suspend them from work and threaten to detain them or subject them to some other form of punishment.

The great law of the cosmos "Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance" creates everything, including you and me. Please be kind to the practitioners who are calling upon the benevolence of the sentient beings and offering them salvation even though they are being persecuted so severely.

7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Persecution of Dafa Practitioners in Huanggu Area

Li Xiaoyuan (male), about 50 years old, was a practitioner from Santaiz, Huanggu Area and an "Employee of the Year" at the Shenyang Songling First Cast Factory. However, on September 21, 2001, his home was raided by police and, while still at work, he was illegally removed and incarcerated. Currently, Li is being detained at Shenyang Huanggu District Detention Center even though his sentence does not accord with any proper judicial procedures.

On July 20, 1999, Li appealed numerous times in Beijing and in December 1999 he was unlawfully brought to the Zhangshi Labor Camp and sentenced for one year. In February of 2000, after conducting an extensive inquiry, police transferred him to the Shenyang Huanggu District Detention Center where he remained until being released in November of that same year.

Tang Lejuan (female), around 60 years old, was a practitioner from the same area and a retiree of the Shenyang Aeroplane Manufacturing Company. On October 1, 2001, she was arrested and brought to the Huanggu District Santaizi Xinyang Motel, a notorious place used by police for "brainwashing" forms of interrogation. On October 10, she was brought to the Zhangshi Labor Camp unlawfully and underwent additional enforced brainwashing. At the same time, three other practitioners were also brought away.

8. [Penglai City, Shandong Province] Crimes conducted by Cunliji Town Government in the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners

Zhang Dapeng, Deputy Party Secretary within the Cunliji Town Government, is in charge of the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in Penglai City. Together with police from the local police station, he has personally overseen the brutal torture of many practitioners. He has also had a hand in the numerous brainwashing classes which have been taking place since July 2001.. These classes are carried out for the sole purpose of forcing practitioners to give up cultivating Falun Dafa and write repentance statements. When practitioners refuse to write these statements, Zhang Dapeng has enforced further injustice by extorting money from them.

Dafa practitioner Gao Fengmei was fined 2000 Yuan [Approximately 4 months salary of an average urban worker in China]. Last autumn, she was arrested for distributing Dafa materials and was brought to the Penglai Detention Center where she was confined for one month. Not long after she was released, her husband, Song Xianguo, and also a practitioner, was arrested together with Li from the Wang Village for spray painting Falun Dafa messages. They were brought to the Penglai Detention and unlawfully detained for one month. While there, they were ruthlessly beaten and struck with electric batons. At the same time, their homes were raided and all Dafa books and materials were confiscated. Not long after Song and Li were released, they were arrested once again and sentenced to three years in Wangcun Labor Camp. Sadly, their two school aged children are alone at home and their farm has been left to waste.

Ever since this spring, the lawless police have been holding enforced brainwashing classes for practitioners and many have been deported to Wangcun Labor Camp. Currently, there are a few practitioners who are forced into a homeless life out on the streets to escape the persecution, with no one to look after their young children at home.

10. [Changchun, Jilin Province] Reminder to Changchun Practitioners to be More Aware

Towards the end of September, two of Changchun's Dafa material printing sites were discovered by police resulting in the arrest of more than 20 practitioners. Beforehand, the evil police had been secretly following and watching the movements of practitioners. One point, which is worth noting: the cars, which are used to follow practitioners, have out-of-state number plates. We suggest that at the same time as using righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil, practitioners should be aware of the schemes plotted by police and avoid letting them take advantage of us.

11. [Beijing] Watcher at Beijing's Fengtai District

One evening, at around 8pm, I was returning home carrying my child. When I walked into my suburb, I saw a woman walking a dog and nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary. So I did not take notice. But as I was walking up the stairs to my apartment, I heard her talking to a man.

He said, "Anything happened?"

She said, "Nothing. I just saw a woman carrying a child who went up the stairs."

Then I heard the sound of that man hurrying up the stairs, but at this time, I was already inside my apartment.

Here, I want to remind those fellow practitioners who are distributing truth-clarifying materials to hold righteous thoughts every minute. Do not let the fanatical evil police take advantage of the situation.

12. [China] A Kindhearted Police Officer

A police officer from Beijing when calling his outer city relative (a practitioner) said, "Recently the situation is quite tense, be careful when you go out." He also said that when they go out to patrol at night and come across practitioners who are distributing truth-clarifying materials, he "warned" them with "Why don't you lie low and do it?" Then they continued patrolling. Soon, they discovered a group of police officers beating one practitioner whom they had caught. He said, "Why are you beating him? Take him to where he should be. He didn't do anything wrong." After conferring for a while he saved that practitioner.
