[Minghui Net] We are Falun Dafa practitioners who were released from Heizhuizi Labor Camp, Changchun City, Jilin Province. We experienced inhuman torture in this hell-like place. Many of the staff working there treated practitioners barbarically.
The First Unit chief Yan Lifeng, the Sixth Unit chief Wang Limei, two staff of Unit Two Ren Gang and Zhang Liguo, all played major roles in torturing practitioners.
One time, Yan Lifeng used an electric baton, shocking practitioner Yan Chunmei for more than an hour because she declined to write down "I give up Falun Gong". Another time he shocked practitioner Liang Guizheng until her whole face was badly swollen. Staff members Su and Wang also cruelly tortured and injured many practitioners detained there. Su even shocked a practitioner named Chen who was in poor health and very weak after a hunger strike. Pu Lianying was tied to a wire bed frame for more than 10 days because of her sticking to her practice of Falun Gong. She was also forced to stand for 4 days and 4 nights until her feet were all cracked and swollen. In addition to the incidents described above, Yan Lifeng ordered another in-mate, Guo Shufa, to beat up Falun Gong practitioners.
Liu Lianying of the Second Unit was one of the most ferocious members of the staff. To those practitioners who kept doing Falun Gong exercises, she would begin with kicking and punching and would then take bamboo paddles and beat them on their heads and faces. Oftentimes she tore off practitioners' coats and strapped them tightly with leather belts onto rusty wire bed frames. Sharp steel wires pierced their thin clothing, scratching and tearing their skin. They would not be let off the beds unless they agreed to write a pledge that 'I'm not practicing Falun Gong any more'. Over the Chinese New Year holidays, practitioner Xu Gongchun, Fan Xiuyun and Tian Xiuhua suffered this torture for over 10 days. The belts tightly strapped their arms and ankles to the sharp, rusty metal bed frames, causing deep bloody gashes. After this, they still had to do heavy manual labor for more than 10 hours a day.
Practitioner Huang Jingru was extremely weak after over 20 days on a hunger strike. Even in such a state, Liu Lianying didn't neglect to give her electric shock torture with the electric baton. Yang Shumei also suffered electric shock treatment because of doing Falun Gong exercises. Several of the staff shocked her together, all at once. Then Liu Lianying interrogated her, using an electric baton to help get the answers she wanted. When Shumei answered her with "Yes, I still want to practice", Liu shocked her from head to feet for more than 2 hours. She was hurt so severely that she had wounds and bleeding blisters all over her body. Liu also used an electric baton to torture Chen Ronghui's face and head, using such strong electrical current that he was left badly bruised, with skin broken and bleeding. Staff member Chang also used an electric baton to torture practitioners many times. Practitioner Zhang Wenhui has been locked up in a small cell for 40 days. Being afraid that their barbarous behavior would be exposed to the public, they prohibited those wounded practitioners from meeting with their relatives. The Second Unit chief assigned some in-mates like Gao Meila, Sun Lila, Jing Xiangyue, Zhu Liying and Yang Hongmei, to be in charge of reporting Falun Gong practitioners' performance. They were encouraged to beat and insult practitioners as well.
The Third Unit chief Xi and staff members Jing and Wang Lila kept shocking Li Sixia with an electric baton for more than an hour. Then they locked her in a freezing cold warehouse and handcuffed her to a bed. She finally lost consciousness.
Staff of the Sixth Unit used electric batons to force practitioners to write 'I am giving up Falun Gong' statements. In order to finish the 're-education' tasks, a lot of unit chiefs and their staff have used extremely cruel actions to persuade practitioners. Many suffered brutal beatings. Some became mentally unstable as a result of the torture. Practitioners who went on hunger strikes against the persecution suffered from barbarous force-feeding attempts. Many of them almost suffocated to death as a result. The Labor Camp administration was well aware of the cruel extent of these tortures and, in fact, encouraged it.
We hereby strongly appeal to the relevant departments to punish, according to law, those who trampled human rights and persecuted citizens, and to return lawful rights and freedom to Falun Gong practitioners.
