On April 13, 2001, I met a leader in the Vietnamese community on an occasion where he gave a short speech to raise awareness on human rights in China and Vietnam. After I introduced Falun Dafa and the situation in China to him, he kindly invited me to attend one of the upcoming Vietnamese community events.
On April 29, I arrived at the event with a Persian practitioner, and we gave a 3-minute introduction on Falun Dafa. About 30 people attended the event, some of them had served in or were directly involved with the Vietnam War, and some were of a younger generation. Mr. Sum asked me to put the Falun Dafa Vietnamese flyer into their magazine. In addition, everyone was kind enough to sign the "Thinh Nguyen Toan Cau" (signature petition) sheet. I am truly happy for those who signed! Towards the closing, I was approached by Mr. Nguyen, our local Vietnamese newspaper representative. Mr. Nguyen showed great interest and wanted to assist me in introducing Falun Dafa to the Vietnamese community.
I thank Master for giving me this great opportunity to introduce Falun Dafa to the Vietnamese community, something that I've wished to do since obtaining the Fa. It was definitely a wonderful cultivation experience for me because I overcame my fear of speaking Vietnamese publicly in a large crowd. I hope that other Vietnamese practitioners will find the opportunity to hongfa to Vietnamese media and organizations. For me, it was naturally and smoothly arranged.
