[Clearwisdom Net] Recently, Jiang Zemin's regime has again intensified the suppression of Falun Gong. In the beginning they labeled Falun Gong as "superstitious" and "pseudo-science," then they changed the label to an "evil cult." Now it's become even worse, they say Falun Gong has "degenerated" into a "reactionary political organization," has "colluded with western anti-China forces" and is a "tool being used by the Taiwan independence group." The labeling by Jiang Zemin's regime is indeed very absurd. Its constant worsening of the labels against Falun Gong is filled with flaws. I will only discuss one point here.
As the suppression of Falun Gong by Jiang Zemin's regime continues, they continually alter the charges and make them more severe as time goes on. Isn't this the same as admitting that suppressing Falun Gong is wrong? This can be illustrated in an example. Say that a doctor is trying to cure a patient's disease, however, the more he tries, the more serious the disease becomes. Originally it was just a cold, after treatment it became pneumonia, then it was treated as lung cancer. Doesn't this prove that the doctor has handled it incorrectly from the very beginning, and has made an absurd number of mistakes? Those who objected to the suppression from the start, now have many more reasons. They can simply quote an old Chinese saying, "There was originally not a trouble in the world; it was the incapable who troubled himself."
When Jiang's regime declared that Falun Gong had "already degenerated" into a "reactionary political organization" that "colludes with western anti-China forces" and has degenerated into a "tool used by the Taiwan independence group," in fact it already admitted that originally Falun Gong was not reactionary, not political and not related in any way to the western anti-China forces or to the Taiwan independence group. It was not anyone else but Jiang's regime itself that claimed that a group that actually has no interest in politics was a group, which "colludes with western anti-China forces" and is "used by the Taiwan independence group." It was not anyone else but Jiang's regime that has produced a gigantic "foe" for itself, a foe that is becoming more and more "opposed." It was not anyone else but Jiang's regime itself that restlessly helped its "opponent" to improve in strength. Jiang Zemin is not able to convert enemies into friends, but is only able to create and intensify conflicts. If we are to pick the one who is causing the most instability in the society in China, whom else could we pick but Jiang Zemin?
