Validating the Fa with reason, clarifying the truth with wisdom, spreading the Fa and offering people salvation with benevolence at the Manchester Show 2001 on 7th-8th July.
The Manchester Show 2001 is organised by Manchester City Council Leisure Department. It is a very large and comprehensive Show with fun-filled days for the family. There is horse jumping, an entertainment marquee (large tent) for bands, children's shows, a horticultural show marquee, flower show marquees, a fairground, a sports area, a central arena for displays, marching bands, falconry, stunt motor cycles, the Royal Army "Red Devils" parachute team, and much more.
Our exhibition booth was situated in the Craft and Commercial Area. Our gazebo (open tent) looked bright, colourful and distinctive with blue and yellow Falun Gong Banners and posters. We also had banners and articles explaining the persecution and deaths of practitioners in Mainland China. Many people signed the United Nations Human Rights petition.
The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Manchester were presented with our printed materials. We handed out hundreds of leaflets and did many exercise demonstrations, talked to people and explained about the Fa and the persecution in Mainland China.
Although the weather was not good, thousands of people came to the Show and heard about and were introduced to Dafa.
