From there, it has spread to many countries in the world and attracted hundreds of millions of practitioners. Precisely because of that, it has also become one of the places in China where Falun Dafa and its practitioners are persecuted the most.
The following is a report on how some practitioners are being tortured in the Heizuizi Labor Camp in Changchun.
According to Clearwisdom Net, Dafa practitioner Zhou Wenjie was among the first group of practitioners sent to labor camps, but she still refuses to break from Falun Gong. The perpetrators extended her detention and have not released her. When she first came into the labor camp, she went on a hunger strike to protest the cruel persecution. She was force-fed, which caused her teeth to become loose and crooked. Another time she was put into confinement as punishment for practicing the Falun Gong exercises. In the rat-infested place of confinement, there was a suffocating smell. She was handcuffed behind her back and fed only half rations of food. Later, she was continuously tied by her arms and legs to the "death bed" (in a storage room) for more than 10 days, with her body directly touching the cold metal. The guards did not release her from the bed even to eat or defecate. The perpetrators were afraid of being exposed for their evil deeds, so the disciplinary staff had only one person deliver food to her. They wouldn't release her unless she wrote a pledge against Falun Gong. As a result, this practitioner has been detained for almost two years.
The disciplinary guards tortured another Dafa practitioner, Li Shixia, with 3 electric batons simultaneously for 2 hours. The flesh on her neck was burnt by the torture, filling the hallway with the smell of burning flesh. The guards also shocked her breasts and back with electric batons. The head guard beat her until she threw up blood, and even then he did not let her go. He tied her up in a storage room and kept torturing her until she finally fainted. The perpetrator ordered someone to watch her, fearing that she would die. She has also been detained until now.
Dafa practitioner Chen Jingru also refused to write a pledge. The guards tortured her many times with electric batons. As a result, her neck became terribly swollen and had many big blisters. She cannot move it at all, and is still under detention.
Dafa practitioner Su Lifeng was handcuffed and hung from a bed. She was extremely weak, and her body was twitching and swinging in the air. Even the regular inmates could not bear the scene and talked to the disciplinary guards three times about it. However, the wicked guards merely turned their backs. Later on, the practitioners took turns lifting her body up in order to alleviate her pain. She was not released until the next morning.
Since the Chinese government began to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, extraordinary signs from the heavens have appeared in many places in China. These are intended to warn people not to persecute Falun Gong and urge them to be kind to the millions of Falun Gong practitioners. Falun Dafa represents the laws of the universe, and no one should allow it to be damaged. Falun Dafa practitioners are all kind-hearted people and should not be persecuted, but a certain group of people headed by Jiang Zemin has consistently refused to see what a big mistake they are making. They have continued to abuse their power and persecuted countless Chinese practitioners. At the same time, they have used the propaganda machines at their disposal to deceive ordinary Chinese citizens. As the persecution continues to escalate in both breadth and intensity, the extraordinary warning signs from the heavens are getting more and more frequent and serious.
According to a report from the Chinese News Agency written by Wu Zhaofei, a torrential rainfall suddenly fell in Changchun around 8:30 AM on July 1. The storm lasted close to 30 minutes. The city meteorological department stated that the wind speed reached a high of 28 meters (92 feet) per second. At least four people were reported dead from the storm. The exact amount of rainfall has not been released yet, but the reporter was told that more than a dozen millimeters (around half an inch) of rainwater fell in the first 10 minutes of the storm alone.
The storm caused a tremendous amount of damage in many places in the city of Changchun. Power supply to more than a dozen city neighborhoods was interrupted after several transformers caught on fire and many power lines were knocked down. Numerous broken trees and damaged houses could still be seen everywhere in the city the next day. All the major city hospitals were packed with patients seeking treatment after being injured in the storm.
In addition, the high winds knocked down a public restroom booth, which then fell on top of two women who were seeking shelter from the storm underneath the booth. Passers-by called the police and assisted in getting the two women out. The women were rushed to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The other two people who were killed in the storm were both men. They were electrocuted when they walked over a broken power line that was knocked down to the ground by the storm.

This and many other extraordinary signs from the heavens are repeated warnings for those who have persecuted Falun Dafa and its practitioners. Their behaviors cannot be tolerated by the principles of the heavens. When humans fail to take actions to stop their evil deeds, the heavens will intercede!
There is a Chinese saying, "When something is pushed to the extreme, it means that the time to reverse its course has come!" No matter how ruthless and powerful the evil appears to be at one moment, their unspeakable acts are doomed to fail, and their crimes will be punished. Some people say, "I have not personally participated in the suppression of Falun Gong and the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. I could not care less about the persecution of Falun Gong by Jiang Zemin" or "I have been completely neutral" or "I have never said that Falun Gong is not good. Why should I be punished in these catastrophes?"
The truth is that in the face of a major event like this where good and evil are clearly distinguishable, every single person has either directly or indirectly taken a stance. Complete ignorance and indifference to the ruthless persecution of kindness by the evil forces is the same as acquiescence or even a form of encouragement. Kindness and righteousness are considered high virtues and cherished by people everywhere. Every single person on earth is duty bound to uphold and protect these virtues. The principles of the heavens are just to all beings. The truth is that the current natural and man-made catastrophes that are occurring so frequently in China are mere warning signs to those who have persecuted Falun Gong as well as to those who are indifferent to the sufferings of Falun Gong practitioners. Mortals cannot begin to imagine the depth of a Buddha's benevolence. Every single person is given a chance.
But at the same time, Buddhas and Gods cannot allow the evil to endlessly slander the good names of Buddhas and persecute cultivators. If human beings do not take action to stop these evil deeds, the heavens will interfere. When that day comes, it will be too late for those who refuse to heed the warnings to repent.
