  • Photographer/Reporter from local paper. Interviewed two practitioners and took photos of a group of walkers will be published in Monday's newspaper!

Today we walked for 33 km and in the afternoon there were almost 45 practitioners walking together! We walked along the main road from Mittagong, through Bowral and then onto the highway to get to the finish point for the day Mittagong McDonalds (and we didn't even eat there!)

Many practitioners from Sydney walked with us for the day and many others prepared food, food and more food for our lunch. It was so kind of the practitioners to do that for us. Many of us walking didn't know what we would be eating each day as we walked and would have been happy with whatever was offered, but we have been very fortunate for the entire walk so far and for today in particular. It reminded a practitioner who shared her understanding with me, that many others are working hard to support the walk and to help draw attention to the walk for Falun Dafa. These practitioners had brought food for the walkers purely out of their compassion and it would be a great sorrow and something that we would have to repay if we were to not finish the walk.

At lunchtime today, we all saw a great ring of light around the sun. It was huge and radiated brilliant colours from the outer edge. We had to use our hands to block the sunlight and see the ring, but when the sun was covered by a cloud, we could see the ring even more clearly and knew it to be a Falun.

After lunch, we walked a bit before getting to the highway for the last leg of the day's journey. On the highway, a number of us saw that the Falun was back again, huge and bright against the blue sky and white clouds. An 11-year old practitioner, another practitioner and I also saw a ray of light leading from the large Falun to a smaller coloured circle in the clouds. When we looked at it, one practitioner saw Master Li's Law Body, shiny and golden, and I saw a Falun with the swastika symbol clearly in the middle, sitting on the clouds.

This was the first time that I have seen such things and I felt privileged to have had them shown to me. We are now half way through the walk, and although I have many pains, it still seems like we have only walked for a day. I think that everyone walking knows in their hearts why they are walking and this is displayed in our actions. With so much support from locals, passersby and practitioners, and as one practitioner said at lunch: "Master has shown us the Falun to give us courage," although there was never any question about it, we will finish the walk, no problem.
