[Minghui Net] After holding my Traditional Chinese painting exhibition and sale for charity in Sweden, I went to Warsaw, Poland for my personal art exhibition. In conjunction with my show, we held a press conference about the escalating persecution entitled: "SOS! Urgent: Rescue the Falun Gong Practitioners Persecuted in China." Over 30 reporters from local radio stations, TV stations, and major newspapers attended the press conference, including the Chinese People's Daily and Xinhua News Agency.

While practitioners Maria from Poland and Peter from Germany and I talked about the persecution situation in China and the "SOS," reporters took notes and photos. During the question/answer session, a Chinese official asked, "Polish human rights organizations claim that female Falun Gong practitioners are humiliated and raped in jail. Were you humiliated?" I immediately answered, "Yes. Chinese police threw me into male cells twice because I continued practicing Falun Gong exercises in the jail. When I cleaned my body using the only water tap in the jail, all the male prisoners and prison guards could see me. Isn't this humiliating to a woman? Later, after the Australian Embassy's intervention, they sent me back to the female cell." In response to my story, the Chinese official said, "We don't humiliate or rape every woman." China doesn't stop such beastly behavior, but emphasizes that it's not every woman's bitter experience, as if that somehow makes it acceptable.

When a Chinese official saw my paintings, he said, "These are not from you. They have four or five styles of expression and techniques. They are very well done." I told him, "I can draw one in front of you right now." He found no words to reply. Another Chinese official said, "You are an Australian citizen. Why were you jailed in China?" I replied, "It was all caused by Jiang Zemin. When I heard Jiang's group insult our Teacher and Dafa [Great Law and principles] in July 1999, I went to the Chinese Consulate in Sydney, and asked the Chinese consulate officials to submit my letter to Jiang Zemin. Every day I waited outside the consulate from 9 o'clock in the morning till 5 o'clock in the evening, regardless of the weather. I waited for 5 whole months with great tolerance and compassion. But the consulate officials not only failed to submit my letter, they also threatened me, verbally abused me, and even attempted to assassinate me. They tried all kinds of underhanded schemes to keep me from appealing. Under such circumstances, I had no choice but to go to China in person to make my plea for justice. In return, I was put into four jails and endured eight months of sheer hell." Hearing this, the Chinese official walked away speechless.

Some Chinese reporters who still have a conscience were touched by Dafa practitioners' immense compassion. They left their business cards, shook our hands and said, "We wish you success. Please inform us of your next activities."
