Compassion is a quarterly journal providing news and information about Falun Dafa around the world. It is produced and published by the Falun Dafa Information Center.

This edition of Compassion provides a comprehensive view of how those who practice Falun Gong in China and around the world are making great strides to lift the ban of Falun Gong in China and end the relentless persecution that has unfolded over the last two years.

There are three feature articles:

1) "Why Persecute Falun Gong?" -- An analysis of the true origins of the persecution of Falun Gong, discussing secret communications sent out by Jiang Zemin in 1999, which reveal his true reasons for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. Also included are the views of CNN's top China Analyst, Willy Wo-Lap Lam, as he dissects the persecution in China.

2) "Courage on Tiananmen Square" -- A perspective on the motivation behind the long-standing, non-violent appeal of Falun Gong practitioners in China. This article offers insights into what motivates practitioners of Falun Gong in China to continue their struggle for freedom of belief and conscience, even in the face of terrible torture or even the prospect of death.

3) "Beyond China's Borders" -- A collection of articles/cases revealing the insidious, and often illegal, activities instigated by Chinese consulates around the world to extend the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners outside China.

Also included in this edition of Compassion are photos and articles that cover the July 20, 2001, events around the world, awards and support Falun Gong has received over the last year, recent events from all corners of the globe as well as detailed reports on the persecution in China, including special reports on overseas practitioners Dr. Chunyan Teng (United States) and Zhao Ming (Ireland), both of whom are currently being held in Chinese labor camps.

This edition of Compassion carries a number of statements of support from leaders around the world, including U.S. President George W. Bush, as well as Australian, Canadian and European Senators/Members of Parliament.

Lastly, this edition contains information about the practice of Falun Gong as well as ways in which people can stay informed and/or get involved in helping to end the persecution in China.
