- Chen Qionghua, the Party Office staff person from the Danzhou City's
Botany Institute and Botanical Research Institute in Hainan Province was
planning to send 7 Dafa practitioners to a brainwashing class in Haikou
City. All the practitioners working at the two institutions sent out
righteous thoughts together to eliminate the evil. The day before Chen
originally wanted to implement her plan, she fell down the stairs and became
completely paralyzed. She was diagnosed as suffering from an incurable,
unknown disease. Now Chen understands that it was retribution for
persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, and she is very regretful.
- An old professor from Beijing told us a true story about when he came to
Hainan to lecture. A senior professor at the Chinese Politics and Law
University who practices Falun Gong is a very noble-minded person. In
October, the "610" Office [an agency specifically created to
persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration
in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] tried to
force him to write a statement promising not to practice Falun Gong any
more. He told them, "Falun Gong is the best and most righteous." A
couple of days later the professor was mysteriously missing. His family
members still do not know where he is.
- One day, two young practitioners in Haikou City, one 6 years old and the other 10
years old, saw the well publicized news on TV slandering Dafa. They
immediately sat down with the upright palm hand-gesture and sent out
righteous thoughts saying, "The Fa rectifies the Cosmos, the Evil is
completely eliminated." One minute later, the TV screen lost all
signals. By the time the signal was recovered, the program was already
broadcasting other news.
- The director of a female labor camp in Hainan Province is a truly evil
character. She prohibited family members from visiting any of the firm Dafa
practitioners. She claimed it was the "restricted period." They
would have to wait until the end of the year to see if the practitioner
"reformed." They can only visit if the practitioner is reformed.
Han, head of a sub-team, instigated the criminal inmates to
tie up Dafa practitioners and beat them.
- Gong Yuhua, a female Dafa practitioner from Qionghai City, was arrested
while distributing Dafa truth-clarifying materials on July 15, 2001. She has
been illegally sentenced to one year of forced labor in Hainan's Sangongli
Female Forced Labor Camp.
- Dafa practitioner Chen Youliang from Qionghai City went out to distribute
truth-clarifying materials on October 14 and was arrested. A citizen
mistakenly thought he was a thief and yelled for help. Later that person
said if he had known Chen Youliang was a Dafa practitioner he would not have
called for help. He said he had some knowledge about Dafa. Chen Youliang is
currently illegally detained at Qionghai City's No. 1 Detention Center.
