Clarifying the Truth to Local FBI Offices

Oct. 23, 2002 |   By Practitioners in the USA

(Clearwisdom.net) (1) At noon last Friday, we walked in to the local FBI field office without an appointment. We waited about 20 minutes, then two FBI officers came to talk with us. We introduced ourselves and then discussed the blacklist issue (from Iceland) and our concern for our privacy and safety, and then we introduced more facts regarding Falun Gong and the persecution, and the reason we wanted to go to Iceland when Jiang went there.áWe discussed with them how the blacklist was collected in the USA. The officers suggested we should immediately report any clues to them. If they find solid evidence that Chinese agencies are doing something illegal on US soil, the US can send them home.

We informed them about Resolution 188 and exchanged views regarding Jiang's US visit in October. We chatted about the news blockade in China. They seemed to know quite a bit about what is going on in China. Finally, we gave each of them a "Compassion" magazine. The whole conversation took about 40 to 50 minutes.

(2) I went to visit my local FBI office. I had wanted to go there for a long time, and finally made that, and I found it was a very worthwhile trip.

I went there to report being blacklisted, to report the visits paid by the Chinese Consulate to New Jersey local towns and the threatening letters sent to our town officials. To my surprise, the special agent who talked with me knew nothing about Falun Gong.

He was shocked to learn that Chinese diplomats could possibly monitor US citizens and threaten US officials. He assured me that he would write a report on this, and told me the evidence I provided to him is solid. He also wanted me to send him more reports in the future.

I felt the local FBI is a government branch we had largely ignored in the past. The lesson I learned from recent trip is that we should always make it a top priority to let people know about the truth of Falun Dafa. This time, I went in assuming he at least heard about Falun Gong. It was almost till the middle of the conversation, when he asked me what Falun Gong is, then I realized that I need to start from the basic facts. I wasn't prepared

for that, I only brought a report about blacklist issue in our local area. Fortunately, I had a colored Falun Gong introduction flyer with me, but I wished that I had brought with me a "Compassion" magazine.
