Ms. Wu Xiaohua is a Dafa practitioner and an associate professor from the Hefei Institute of Civil Engineering. She had previously been tortured at Hefei City's Mental Hospital for over a year. A doctor at the hospital revealed recently that when he was not on duty, two guards from Anhui Province's Female Forced Labor Camp removed Ms. Wu Xiaohua from the hospital two weeks ago. No other hospital personnel knew the specific time when she was taken away. Wu Xiaohua is currently neither at home or at her place of employment. Her whereabouts are unknown.

According to inside police department sources in northern China, the Chinese despot has ordered renewed, escalated persecution of Falun Gong, beginning from the National Holiday, October 1 and lasting until the 16th National Congress. The orders are reported as follows.

1. On the issue of Falun Gong, county Party and political heads will be dismissed if even one practitioner from their county goes to Beijing to appeal.
2. Practitioners whose names are already on the list should be under surveillance around the clock. "Important" practitioners are to be monitored by five policemen each, and two policemen should be assigned to monitor each other practitioner. Policemen who meet their goal [preventing practitioners from appealing in Beijing] will be rewarded with 3,000 Yuan each [500 Yuan is average monthly income in urban areas of China], and those who fail will be fined 3,000 Yuan. The reward money comes from the government treasury.
3. Police have the authority to immediately arrest and detain Dafa practitioners if they think the practitioners are trying to appeal. Police are further authorized to assess each Dafa practitioner's family a 3, 000-Yuan "administration fee."

Most people do not support the dictatorship's policy of suppressing Falun Gong. People who know say, "Right now, the Party is more vicious than villains, and more atrocious than burglars."

Persons from Chibi City's Police Department, in conjunction with the "610 Office," arrested over a dozen Dafa practitioners, including Ms. Wu Hanxiang, Mr. Wu Xiaochi, Mr. Huang Junliang, Ms. Xu Huixiang, Ms. Hao Yufang, Mr. Shen Xintian, Mr. Zhang Rujun, Mr. Bi Guangxin. [The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] These practitioners are participating in a group hunger strike in the detention center. This is another case of persecution against Dafa practitioners, following the case of four other practitioners (Mr. Shi Kai, Mr. Deng Jinshan, Ms. Zhen Yuling, and Mr. Lai Yongcai) who were illegally sent to forced labor camp.

Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhou Guoqiang was illegally sentenced to two years of forced labor after he was arrested for appealing. He is still a determined Dafa practitioner. After his labor camp term expired, policemen took him back and put him into a detention center.

On November 26, 2000, Liao Xuesheng, chief of the National Security Section in Gongan County Police Departments, arrested Dafa practitioner Ms. Luo Changhong from Gongan County in the Buhe Town. Practitioner Luo was later illegally sentenced to 1-1/2 years of forced labor and was forcibly sent to the No. 9 Team of Hubei Province's Shayang Forced Labor Camp. A year later, Luo Changhong's term was illegally extended by three months because she would not give up her faith in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." When the three months had expired, policemen transferred her to Gongan County's Detention Center for "criminal detention" on fabricated charges. Her family inquired to bring her back home from the detention center, but the detention center officials said, "We're afraid she'll go to Beijing to appeal."

Luo Changhong, a young woman in her 20s, is persecuted by the despot's tyranny simply because of her faith in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." Even now, Luo Changhong is still illegally detained at Gongan County's Detention Center and suffering physical tortures and mental persecution.

Dafa practitioner Chen Zhongtao from Jingshan County, Hubei Province was former commander of Panzhihua City's Armed Police in Sichuan Province. From July 20^th , 1999, he was forcibly detained six months by the army he worked at. On April 25^th , 2000, he went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong and was arrested and sent back to Jingshan County's Detention Center. He was released after being illegally detained 17 months and then had to live in exile. In mid May 2002, he was arrested in Wuhan City. He went on a hunger strike and was sent back to Jingshan County's No.1 Detention Center after his life was in danger during the detention period in Wuhan City. His family members went to the detention center trying to get him back, but the personnel at the detention center said they absolutely wouldn't release him. Chen Zhongtao is detained at Jingshan County's Detention Center and is only allowed to meet certain people.

Since December 2000, Dafa Practitioner Zhang Hongbing from Jiangshan County, Hubei Province has been detained at Jingshan County's No.1 Detention Center for nearly two years, only because he made some truth-clarifying materials to expose the lies against Dafa. Lately, it's said that he will be sentenced to three years of imprisonment. At present, he is still detained at Jingshan County's No. 1 Detention Center.

I took a luxury coach from Shenyang City to the Liaohe Oil Field. When we reached the Panjin Highway tollbooth, two policemen got on the coach and forced everybody to read a piece of paper they had placed in their hands. Two sentences on this piece of paper slander Dafa and Teacher. Whoever refused to read would immediately be taken away.

On October 1, 2002, I went back to my hometown to visit my parents during the holiday. While clarifying the truth of Dafa at a gathering with my friends, I heard the following story. In April or May, a factory in Su County was unable to pay people's salary, so workers gathered at the gate of the district committee, asking officials to help resolve their income problems. As there were so many people, no official was willing to show up. The workers felt they couldn't solve the problem this way and thus decided to lie on the railway tracks in protest. As a result, the train was delayed a few hours. The news soon got to the State Department. The Central Government demanded the Su County District Committee to look into the matter and give a resolution. The officials at Su County's District Committee then realized the seriousness of the matter. They knew there was no other way to stay safe, except to claim that "this was done by Falun Gong." The committee then submitted a report and the thing ended up with nothing resolved.

At 1:00 a.m. on October 1, some lawless people from the Fangcun Police Station arrested Dafa practitioners Mr. Zhang Junjie, Mr. Li Qing (pseudonym), Ms. Chen Yuan (pseudonym) and Ms. Mei Zhi who were forced to live in exile while they were distributing truth-clarifying materials at Jia Village, Loudi Township, Luancheng County, Shijiazhuang City. At present, these lawless people are torturing practitioners with excruciating means to force them to reveal their home addresses and material resources.

Beginning from October 1 and lasting until the conclusion of the 16^th National Congress, brainwashing classes have been set up at different levels, from the provincial and the municipal, down to every county. The Finance Department allotted money for forcibly brainwashing Falun Gong practitioners. It is said they even issued a so-called "Graduation Certificate" after the class. At present, several Dafa practitioners from Xingtai City have been forcibly sent to a brainwashing class.
