In the process of clarifying the truth during the Fa-Rectification period, compiling truth-clarifying materials is a critical part, because it directly determines whether or not the readers' hearts can be touched and whether or not the readers can understand the truth. The purpose of us breaking the Internet block and other methods to send these truth-clarifying materials to sentient beings is to let them understand the truth. If the result is not as good as we expected, it is very possible that we have only paid attention to "speaking" instead of "clarifying" truth.

Some practitioners might think that whoever receives the truth-clarifying material is given an opportunity to know the truth and to position themselves, thereby paying more attention to the quantity of recipients rather than the effect of truth-clarification on sentient beings. Such a biased understanding results in Falun Dafa practitioners sacrificing a lot of time, money, and even blood and lives, without fulfilling the requirement of offering salvation to sentient beings in the Fa-rectification period.

As a prominent example, during the second half of the year 2000, nearly every family in all of the big cities in China obtained Falun Dafa truth-clarifying materials, but the truth was not actually clarified. As material-preparing sites were destroyed, practitioners who prepared the materials were arrested and sentenced, some were sent to brainwashing classes and many were forced to leave their homes to avoid illegal arrest. People treated us with indifference, and even many relatives and friends of Dafa practitioners did not understand. Though the malicious persecution and vicious slandering were arranged by the old forces, this also reflected insufficient effort to intensively clarify the truth to sentient beings.

In this article, I would like to share some of my thoughts about the arrangement of truth-clarifying materials.

It is better to first clarify the truth to the persons close to Dafa practitioners, for example, our friends, acquaintances, classmates, colleagues and fellow-townsmen, because these people know how Falun Dafa practitioners behave in their daily lives and they usually trust what Dafa practitioners say. Also, Dafa practitioners are familiar with their situations and can clarify the truth according to their specific circumstances. We are also available to provide them with additional information as questions arise.

To clarify the truth extensively, it is better to gain general information about the audience, such as social strata, age, profession, education level etc., so that we can choose suitable materials for different groups of people. For average people, the truth clarification should focus on the characteristics of Falun Dafa, and some key questions, (April 25^th, 1400 cases, the end of the world, birthday, collecting money, fabricated news reports etc.) as well as the facts of the persecution and those who persecute Falun Dafa. Besides talking about it being beneficial to people and the country and Falun Dafa disciples being good people, the heavenly law of retribution should also be emphasized. Specific cases of retribution can also be included.

With intellectuals, it is crucial to talk about "why we are not involved in politics," and "why we are not opposing the government," issues, and about the moral atmosphere and why Dafa disciples went to Tiananmen and clarified the truth to common people (such as "answering 9 questions"). For scientists with achievements in certain areas, we can talk about the pure insight into science, medicine, culture, art and life based on the understanding of Falun Dafa principles. For religious people, we can talk about the Buddha Law and the essence of cultivation. In brief, in clarifying the truth, we should try our best to choose the contents that fit the audience's ability to accept.

The methods for truth clarification are diversified. Besides face-to-face interaction, phone calls, faxes, correspondence, emails etc. are also commonly used. We choose our method or vehicle according to the target audience. For our close acquaintances, it is usually good to play the VCD and expose the facts of persecution and the benefits from practicing

Falun Dafa according to our own experience. For those involved in the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners, making telephone calls is the best choice, since they may not read materials given to them. For those advanced intellectuals and specialists, mailing selective material gives them a chance to read and examine carefully at home. For small retailers, we can give them flyers, and for departments and units without access to email, faxing material is efficient.

Practitioners who have internet access, such as overseas practitioners, can set up truth-clarifying email boxes, web pages, web briefcases, and make Falun Dafa magazines available, and send the addresses to mainland people to visit. This is highly effective. First, because the message sent out has no key word, it cannot be intercepted. Second, the volume of the materials is big; the contents are quite abundant and can be continuously updated. Third, once we inform the readers of the addresses, they have it and they can continuously read the updated information. Fourth, if all of us put efforts in doing this, the rich and attractive truth-clarifying material will no longer be blocked by the evil forces.

There are many kinds of truth-clarifying materials as well: those commonly seen include VCDs, flyers, posters, pamphlets, emails and so on. The VCD is very effective in quickly awakening those who have been deceived by the lies. But in areas where it's not available, pamphlets can also be just as effective. We can compile and put together different kinds of pamphlets with specific points geared to different groups of people while being comprehensive overall. Pamphlets are easier to distribute, easier to make and more convenient to read than VCDs. People tend to read and keep an attractive book; therefore it is good for passing around. If the content is well arranged, a pamphlet can be very effective in clarifying the truth.  

In addition, in order to show people the goodness of Dafa, we can also make some bookmarks, greeting cards and calendars, etc. to attract people with the impressive contents of Dafa. On top of these materials, we can print Falun, flying heavenly girls, pictures of Dafa practitioners sitting in meditation posture and pictures of promoting Dafa and so on. We can add words or phrases on these materials to encourage people to do good deeds and treasure the Buddha Fa, and give them away along with the truth-clarifying materials. People will collect and treasure these exquisite small gifts for a long time, and Dafa's inner meanings and images will evoke their kindness and kind thoughts. 

To make the contents of the truth-clarifying materials easier to understand and be accepted by people, we can also print some journals, fine articles, essays, news and news reports from foreign media. From these articles, we can point out the decline of social morality and offer valuable advice. These can be alternated with the truth of Falun Dafa materials, thus allowing the contents to be rich, pure and fresh.

Thus, people will like to read it and get to know the truth of Falun Dafa and their souls will be nourished with kindness and compassion. Nowadays there are more and more poems and all kinds of literature and art work by Dafa practitioners; we should take full advantage of these materials to clarify the truth to everyday people. 

There are even more materials for promoting Dafa on the Internet. For example, articles, graphic images, e-books, and e-cards are available. We can also create a short sound file or make a short animation or video program using flash format. We can use all different methods to let people know the truth. On every piece of truth-clarifying material, we can link our home page or include a file package so the receiver can see more materials with just a click without getting involved in sensitive issues regarding Internet address blocking and filtering. 

No matter what method we are using to clarify the truth, there is always the issue of the content's continuity. If we can comprehensively clarify the truth with a step-by-step objective, from all angles, from surface to the roots, the effect will be very good. Typically, the truth includes: what Falun Gong is; disclosure and clarification of the deceptive news with all kinds of rumors and slanders; the truth of the brutal persecution (including information on the persecution, torture, death cases, brainwashing, etc); why Falun Dafa practitioners step forward to verify the Fa; the truth about Dafa being welcomed in various countries, plus the blessings and benefits in both body and mind; Falun Dafa's wide spreading overseas; the support and proclamations Falun Dafa has received from governments around the world; the heavenly truth of "Good or Evil Will Meet With Reward or Retribution;" the explanation of the natural calamities imposed on human being, and so on. 

We can link some specific events as entry points to clarify the truth: for example, the truth about the "Staged-Immolation" event contrary to deceitful media report, the truth about Chen Zixiu and Zhao Xin's brutal persecution cases, the western practitioners' journey of going to Tiananmen, Dafa's spreading overseas widely. The detainment of Dr. Teng Chunyan as a prisoner of conscience can be utilized to illustrate that "brainwashing" is a brutal persecution of one's conscience. We can also use Guan Guimin's [a famous singer practicing Falun Dafa] interview and the persecution of Qinghua University students to acknowledge the fact that many Falun Dafa practitioners are wise and sober-minded to show the unreasonable persecution of Jiang's regime. Also, we can show Zhang Cuiying's Art Exhibition Journey depicting her pure insights and as a way to let the public know about her persecution in clarifying the truth of Falun Dafa. We can show that through practicing Dafa, practitioners can develop wisdom, as well as the truth about the pure insights from the field of art, science, and medicine .

In brief, even though the evil is fabricating its rumors and lies, the materials we have created have become richer and richer to let the sentient beings know the truth. Let's take advantage of these materials more intelligently and clarify the truth to sentient beings in a comprehensive, deep, delicate and persistent fashion, and see the brilliant moment when the Fa rectifies the world!
