PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS: Falun Dafa practitioners practice the principle of Zhen-Shan-Ren, Truthfulness, Benevolence, Forbearance -incorporate it into their daily lives, striving to become better people in all environments and situations; and

WHEREAS: Falun Dafa promotes the cultivation of body, mind, and spirit and has inspired millions of people through gentle exercise and efforts to improve their moral standards since it was brought to the public in 1992; and

WHEREAS: Falun Dafa practitioners worldwide are joyously Celebrating the 10^th anniversary of Falun Dafa's introduction to the public on May 13, 2002; and

WHEREAS: transcending the racial and cultural boundaries, Falun Dafa embraces people of all ages, from all walks of life and religious affiliation; and

WHEREAS: the commitment of Falun Dafa practitioners to the Peaceful resolution of conflicts under the most severe environment and their efforts to encourage people of way of being have touched the heart of every kind-hearted human being; and

NOW, THEREFORE: I, Acting Mayor Bill Given, on behalf of Mayor Wayne Ayling, of the City of Grande Prairie do hereby proclaim
