(Clearwisdom.net) As soon as I got to work on the morning of May 3, 2002, my co-workers told me that the Intel Corporation across the street was under heavy guard that day because Chinese Vice President Hu Jintao was going to pay them a visit. This was a good chance to appeal peacefully to the Chinese leaders, so practitioners who learned of this event gradually came in.
The main entrance of Intel faces an intersection. The "welcome team" arranged by the Chinese consulate already occupied the northwest corner, and there were three practitioners standing beside them. Practitioners learned that those people were there specifically because of Falun Gong -- if no Falun Gong people came, they wouldn't need to carry out the "welcome ceremony."
The majority of Falun Gong practitioners, standing at the northeast corner of the intersection, quietly began their exercises. This threw the "welcome team" into a tumult, and dozens of people holding large flags rushed to the northeast corner, trying to block the Falun Gong practitioners. But evil can never conquer the righteous, and police on duty politely put all of them back on the northwest corner.
At 11:00, Hu Jintao's group walked out. The practitioners on the northeast corner continued practicing the graceful and peaceful exercises. The three practitioners on the northwest corner did the Falun Standing Stance Exercise, and showed their yellow shirts, reading "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," to Hu Jintao's group. The Chinese consulate's welcome team was singing and shouting slogans. Watching from across the street, Hu Jintao waved to the people, then got in the car and left.
