(Clearwisdom.net) At 11a.m., on July 20, 2002, Falun Dafa practitioners from Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa gathered at the capital, Ottawa, to hold activities with the theme of 'Truthfulness Compassion Forbearance Shine in the face of evil persecution," and to recall the great compassion and tolerance Falun Gong practitioners have demonstrated in the face of the Jiang regime's escalating brutal persecution over the last three years. They also launched a rescue campaign for 15 family members and relatives of Canadian practitioners.

Nearly ten major media outlets focused attention on this event. They included Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) (English Services and French Services), Canadian Television (CTV), CJOH-TV and Ottawa Citizen [Ottawa's largest daily newspaper]. Several French media outlets also interviewed practitioners.
