City of Christchurch, New Zealand: Falun Gong Posters on Buses Are Removed; Pressure from Chinese Embassy Is Suspected (Photos)

July 27, 2002

(Clearwisdom.net) After a poster promoting Falun Dafa was removed from the Auckland Airport under pressure from the Jiang regime recently, the advertising posters Falun Gong practitioners put on public buses were also taken down ahead of schedule by the advertising agency. This agency wrote to Falun Gong practitioners saying that they had to remove the posters because the company thought that they contained political and disputable contents. A copy of the poster is provided below, which only shows the words, "Falun Dafa," and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" in both English and Chinese, with no political contents at all. What kind of people or society would not allow the existence of the words, "Falun Dafa" and "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance?"

According to a July 17 report from The Herald, the most important newspaper in New Zealand, the Auckland Airport admitted that they removed the poster because of pressure from the Chinese Embassy. Now the poster-removing incident in Christchurch City makes one suspect that this is another case in which the Chinese Embassy has used its economic influence as a means of exporting its persecution to free countries.

Falun Dafa practitioners all understand that where there is resistance, there is a need for us to clarify the truth. On one hand, this incident exposed the evil nature of the Jiang regime. On the other hand, as long as we have steadfast righteous thoughts, we will be able to eventually turn the evil's sabotage into a great opportunity to promote Falun Dafa. Therefore, this incident also provides a good chance for New Zealand practitioners to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa in a deeper, more refined way.
