The bright sunshine made the winter day feel like early summer. At 10:30am, the 2002 Haldon Street Celebration Parade began. The colorful Falun Dafa group stood out in the parade and attracted people's attention. Lead by a large reproduction of Zhuan Falun, a group of dancers and practitioners wearing traditional Chinese costumes followed. The yellow banner "Celebrate Australian Falun Dafa Day" was especially eye-catching. People applauded warmly as Falun Dafa group passed.

When the group passed the central stage, the host announced through speaker, "It is Falun Dafa. It is originated from ancient China ..." The VIPS seated at the stage, including Canterbury's Mayor and members of the City Council, applauded warmly. Practitioners waved to the spectators with appreciation.

After the parade, the host came to give a big hug to a practitioner and said, "You did a wonderful job. It was so beautiful. Thank you."
